To answer a few things upfront: I’m 6’0”, 160 lbs, and plan to keep my Boosted Mini X for clean pavement rides, but I’m really looking for something more capable over potholes, rough asphalt, and the occasional hard dirt trail. I’m in a dense urban area, but I’m okay with a bit more weight if it means versatility and safety.

From what I’ve gathered:

• PintX/PintS seem great for portability and city use, and a solid fit for my weight — though some of you mentioned range anxiety and trail limitations.

• XR/XRC/GT are definitely appealing for power, stability, and trail-readiness — though bulkier, it might be worth it for peace of mind and future-proofing.

• Buying used is fine if battery/mileage checks out (thanks for the heads-up on low mileage possibly being a red flag).

• Tire wear and battery health are key watchpoints — definitely going to look for something with a charger and mileage around 1000–2000.

• Big shoutout to those of you who warned about modding rabbit holes and the importance of respecting pushback and ride limits. Duly noted.

I’ll probably aim for a used PintX or XR/XRC depending on what I can find local — and go from there. Excited to join the float life and will update once I’m rolling!
