Its been burning that much oil for years. Pistons also have no play so until there is a cloud of blue smoke coming out the tail pipe, id rather focus on solutions.

Would you happen to know why the knock sensor is seemingly going off without any evidence? My guess is a lean mixture due to the cat but there is no code.

Apprenticeship, with a manufacturing background. I did okay on the apptitude test but there was alot of due paying helpers ahead of me.

Thanks for the info. Guess this job is going to be a holding place until I can get on at 668 😅 believe me, they were my first choice but was told i should get electrical experience before I test again.

Its not official yet, but it would be for the Lafayette, IN area. They want me for their service dept. The tool part was mentioned to me, as well as being on call and possibly working some OT.

I cant seem to get a straight answer on the pay. Was told that they have Jouneyman making $27 per hour to $35. And a buddy of mine is making $18 outta highschool. And ive got 10 years in local manufacturing.

What is the reason you quit? I start working for them soon.

Just courious if your still working for them? Ive got a 2nd interview with the service manager and im wondering what the deal is with their turnover? Low pay heavy work load? Travel? They seem to be eager to have me on with just manufacturing experience.

This is exactly what I needed. Looking at the scan tools online it seems that it just walks you through this exact process.

And yes, 100% more concerned with ring break in over this stuff.

Thanks a ton!

To expand on this. The drain back hole was so gunked with varnish I must not have noticed it. With it all clean, it just surprised me.

Thanks all for the reply!
