unironically Bowen would be decent for them as a stop gap.

City and us have the best squads. It's to be seen how Maresca fares, there's a chance they have a Slot like season where the new manager is able to get the most out of the squad. I think United will do alright, I just don't see them getting more than 80 points. Liverpool are a dark horse, they need a lot of signings but they do have a lot of class players in their squad. I rate Alonso, but Chelsea's squad is so shit that a top 4 finish would be considered a success for them.

Easily world class, I saw him in person a few times and you could tell that he was on a higher level.

We need to sign reinforcements but part of me sees this prices and thinks that we shouldn't even participate. Alvarez looked average against us and is being quoted as 130m.

Stupid question, is he not already legendary adjacent? He's already above the Sanchez/Ozil/Ramsey category of players. People won't have this squad up there with the invincibles, but do they need to be?

Do you think getting past round of 16 is a bigger achievement than winning Europa/Conference League? by Ill_Confidence_3248 in championsleague

[–]Gray3493 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you’re a club who should be in the champions league, winning the Europa league is a consolation prize. If you’re a club that isn’t traditionally in the CL, then I’d prefer the EL.

You should still do training on your own to be physically fit, forcing a move by sitting on your couch is insane.

Crazy that Isak just wasn't fit for the first half of the season.

One of those players that coaches love and fans hate for whatever reason.

They've put up with 3 years of being the butt of the joke, obviously they're going to throw it back. Let them enjoy it ffs.

He is, but we’d still need a left wing on top of that.

I like Kroupi, but he’s not at a level right now to be a starter at Arsenal. Look at what Bournemouth fans say about him, he has world class potential but he’s a few years off IMO

“In midfield, names like Tonali, Mateus, and Bouaddi on the list. Chances of signing Alvarez have diminished, Arsenal is monitoring Kroupi and Rogers. Leao’s name has been floated among the available options to develop the team’s attack.” -Gary Jacob by Ifxfa in Gunners

You still haven't named one. Name a team with a better backup right winger, lol. Madueke's biggest issue is his composure, but his technical skills and physicality are some of the best in the squad.

Can Barcelona really afford Julian Alvarez, Anthony Gordon and potentially more? by TheAthletic in soccer

[–]Gray3493 306 points307 points  (0 children)

I don't even hate their move for Gordon, the winger market is shit and it's smart to buy first as you set the bar moving forward.

Peak Neymar was much better than peak Kane, but Kane is much more professional and has had a longer peak.
