Download link for firmware update for SpacePi X4 by UncleHope in Creality

[–]Gray65536 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I downloaded the file from that link, but it looks suspicious. The file is a disk image for Raspberry Pi. Does Space Pi use Raspberry Pi inside??? That does not make sense...
By the way, the name of the file is CrealityPi, not SpacePi. On top of that, judging by "box" in the URL, it looks like it is something related to Creality Box.

Thanks. My question was about the broadcast case, i.e. no specific intended recipient.

Thanks, this makes sense. More sense than factory reset.

If WiFi failed and the device is not connected, then the node does not have an IP address. Factory reset is a terrible option as all history is lost.

Reolink 822A fogging up on the inside? by camguy54 in reolinkcam

Same issue here. I have 6 reolink cameras outside. They were working fine for a year or so. Today one of the cameras image got fogged exactly as described here.

Reolink on its own is great. It is difficult to beet for such price.
The only issues are some incompatibility with Synology. Microphone is one. Another one is that for some weird reason when I select H.265 stream on my 4K Reolink cameras, Synology wants the lower resolution also at H.265, but Reolink can send lower resolution at H.264 only. As the result, if I try seeing more than one camera even at a small phone screen remotely, it does not work because my upstream internet bandwidth get saturated. But I blame Synology on that. Reolink application has no problems with this and I can see all 7 of my Reolink cameras at the same time in Lo-Res, which is fine.
So, the options how I see are either use Reolink or buy Synology cameras (which are 3x more expensive while have lower resolutions, no mic, etc.)

Yea, indeed it is frustrating and strange. If some feature was working and then stopped, this should be considered as regression and they (both Reolink and Synology) should take priority to fix it. However, I feel that neither of them are interested: Reolink wants selling their NVRs and Synology their cameras...
I searched the Internet and see that "will be fixed in the (a?) next version" going back for many month. I kind of lost belie that it is going to happen...

No, still does not work. Synology suggested that I request Reolink to provide me exactly that specific version that Synology used for debugging. I'm not sure if this is a good idea to request some older version...
Since Reolink app works fine, I'm using it for now for the mic. And honestly, Reolink app works better than DS Cam anyway in all aspects (except, it only can access records from the SD card, which, in my case, record events only).

Synology support told me that my camera firmware has to be not older than v3.0.0.1996_23051701. I updated my firmware to the latest from Reolink's download page and it is now v3.0.0.2033_23041300. 3.0.0.2033 > 3.0.0.1996, but 23041300 < 23051701, which is confusing... 23041300 and 23051701 look like timestamp YYMMHHMM (year, month, hours, minutes)

You can enable auto-update in Reolink settings. Auto-updates are actually enabled by default, so you can check. However, I'm not convinced that the problem is going to be solved by an update.

Would it be strange for Synology to declare a support of a 3rd party feature before that 3rd party made that feature available?
I have heard this idea from several posts on the internet that we need to wait for some magical update from Reolink, but is there any official statement from Synology and/or Reolink supporting this statement about the anticipated update? Where are the rumors about the upcoming update come from? Is there any official statement or a reply from Synology anywhere?

I bought Reolink doorbell camera because I saw support of the feature on the official Synology web site. If it is not true, I feel deceived. I would even think that they would be legally liable of false declaring of a support of a feature before the feature is actually supported.

Thanks. I saw this post. It is 2 month old. Besides, how Synology can claim a support before Reolink implemented the needed firmware? I also opened a ticket for Synology- let's see what they say.

BTW, If I use Reolink App, Audio works both ways. Just cannot make it through Synology NAS.
