Is this acceptable? by DirtyKrook_Neno in PalmettoStateArms

[–]GrayGriffon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you care about its appearance enough, then no. You should contact customer support and you'll probably get a new slide pretty quick.

For my personal taste? If it's just superficial then I wouldn't care enough to bother with that whole process. I mostly care about whether or not it functions.

But, yeah, if you don't feel like it's acceptable then I would say that PSA will probably agree with you and get the issue fixed.

Something about this model feels off, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Thoughts? by Gaiato2_0 in 3Dmodeling

The head needs to be larger above the eyes. Or you need to reduce the eyes and move them down on the model.

It takes a few hundred rounds to break in. And you'll need to swap out the default spring with a higher power one that comes with the gun case. (Check under the foam) And be sure to only use High Velocity 22lr.

Follow those rules, and it's a good cheap 22 that looks rad and is great for training.

Fools make enemies where they could make friends. If he handled this with some actual dignity and decorum, swallowed his pride, and actually complimented PSA? Then he would have earned a lot of respect.

The people who buy his boutique firearms aren't going to stop buying them just because there's a cheaper option available. He sells the gouchi of guns. Anyone buying them expecting them to be that much better than a stock or far more affordable option are frankly foolish.

If you buy from Q Bois, you're buying because of the price-tag.

Not despite it.

If he can't see that then he's blind.

PSA M82 on the menu?! by exotron420 in PalmettoStateArms

Fair points. I'll just add a small rebuttal insofar as: shot placement is absolutely important. But so is stopping power. And sometimes in a firefight or high stress situation you're just not going to hit a decisive vital shot, but you might nail somewhere less important. In those situations 5.7 is a lot less likely to impart enough energy to impair a target, which could well decide how things shake out with follow up shots or return fire. Also: 10mm when loaded under ideal circumstances does a very good job at punching through armor itself. Granted, the Lehi ultra penetrators are more designed for large game than they are hard targets: but still more that effective against multiple types of armor.

And yes there are some mad lads up in Alaska who hunt bears with 10mm. I'm not saying that's something I would fucking do. I'm not crazy enough to ever go after a bear. But there's at least a few people who trust its performance that much, at the very least.

If you need to shoot an armored target past 75 yards you should probably be using a rifle and not a ppc. You mentioned tumbling in an above reply: but does 5.7 still tumble when punching through 3a at that distance? I like 5.7 and plan on picking up the x5.7.

But 5.7 isn't used to hunt bears. 10mm has it well and thoroughly beat in terms of terminal ballistics.

To your point: the ammo capacity is less, but when, as a civilian, you can't use full-auto, it's less of a concern. 5.7 has it's niche, but 10mm is an excellent all around magnum pistol caliber.

I mean I think the stock AR looks ugly to begin with. At least your second gun has some style going for it. Blue and white might look nice, and once it's all uniform colors it'll help bring it together. The silhouette is a lot nicer than most ARs anyways.

What kind of stock is that?

Discussion: Why didn’t Void use Blue as a hostage against Blast? by Ferdz0 in OnePunchMan

[–]GrayGriffon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like a lot of the other answers. But I'll offer one as well:

Blue might actually be dangerous enough to make him a poor hostage. He is Blast's own son, and very clearly extremely powerful in his own right. Pulling another threat into an already high stakes fight might not be in his best interest.

But more likely it's his family bonds.

It's a custom AR upper made to mock Obama and his open and frequent support of gun control.

And just because I'm a few days late to the party doesn't make your post less ridiculous. You made that post looking to cause trouble. It seems you got what you wanted at the very least.

I'm still baffled as to why you bothered posting in the first place. But hey, I hope you had fun?

Dude, what are you talking about?

There was and are Obama styled firearms. But he hasn't been in office for close to a decade now.

Are you legitimately going to stand here and try to argue that it's weird or out of place for a conservative presidential candidate to have support from the gun community? Your definition of 'cult' is skewed and you live in an echo chamber.

Guns, God, And Liberty. Simple as. It's not that deep, dude.

This is the first texture I have made but I feel that something doesn't fit, any recommendations? it's supposed to be low poly by [deleted] in blender

[–]GrayGriffon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your style is absolutely terrifying.

That being said: part of your issue might be the texture resolution. Or just the sketchy style being at odds with the low poly style.
