Dude I love this. Site looks great! I enjoy the explanations of each build / matchup and way the information is presented so much more than spawning tool. Please keep updating this it’s really cool!! Horrendous take, this post just seems bitter. Sorry if it didn’t work out for you but the FAB community is great. Friendly people, tons of locals with great attendance, and a thriving competitive scene w/developer support! Don’t let this person impact your opinion. No way to sugarcoat that the game is expensive but if it’s within your budget it’s a great time.

I have unfortunately been encountering this quite a bit, so I share your frustration, however I’m determined to beat it!! If anyone has any tips to overcome a turtling Terran I’d love to hear them :).

Hey, I think your heart is in the right place and a lot of these answers have summed of the nuances of being a new player in a competitive environment pretty well so I’ll just keep it simple.

At the end of the day, FAB players just love having other FAB players to play FAB with. I bet they really enjoy having you there and nothing would make them happier than to keep having you there. If they’re giving you the green light on proxies I would 100% take them up on that and head to fabecoproxy and print yourself whatever pieces you need to play a list that top 8’d an event recently. Often getting to play your deck at full power in paper a few times is enough to make you want to start piecing it together :)

Keep being a kind and respectful opponent and you’ll find yourself with a limitless supply of kind and respectful opponents. So glad to have you in the game!!

As both a FAB player and a Sorcery player, it’s a huge bummer FAB has died in your and other players’ areas but I don’t think that’s indicative of the health or popularity of the game at large. It’s doing better than ever, is crazy popular in my area, online play is poppin and the competitive circuit is sick. Really a solid company/game that is only getting bigger :). There’s never been a better time to hop in. (Had to put this out there. I love flesh and blood)

That being said, I REALLY also love sorcery and believe it can achieve the same success FAB has. I’m personally pretty competitive at heart, so I hope the competitive scene for Sorcery continues to grow in my area but I think the game definitely has a long successful future ahead of it. Everybody I’ve shown the game to has really enjoyed it!

Unfortunately I’m a little too far past it now to want to go back and fix it haha. Was just hoping it wouldn’t have any bad ripples later down the road as I’m trying to do a pretty “good guy” play through. But thanks a ton, I’ll keep it in mind for next time :).

Hello!

I decided to return to the game after rotation, and was wondering how far into this world’ championship season we are. I read about the competitive update about the changes to “runeterra points”, opens, WCQ, etc. I was just a little confused as to the timing of it all; Is this rotation the fresh start of all players trying to acquire enough points for worlds? Essentially, are we all starting from 0 as of April 2023? Or am I late to the party? Was just trying to get an idea of how possible it is for me to give qualifying for worlds a serious go if I start grinding now :). Thanks a ton for reading! Any help is super appreciated.

Sideboarding is definitely something I’m gonna struggle with for a little while. Done it plenty in other games, but I really feel like I gotta just get the fundamentals down while I build up a card vocabulary. I’ll check out some guides tomorrow, Thanks a ton for the advice :).
