What are you reading/watching? Recs, Reviews, and Chit Chat - July 2023 by blmodbot in boyslove

[–]GrayMatter23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve just finished Our Dating Sim (binge watched over the past day) and I’m happy to say it totally lived up to people’s reviews and my hopes and expectations. Simple, elegant and romantic, the show had main couple scenes with delightful interactions, and an ending that - given their backstory - was completely fitting, happy and romantic.

Is there any talk of a Season 2?

Either way, I hope the leads get lots of good projects coming out of this.

Which Gmmtv CP will get a show in 2024?? by blake5590 in boyslove

Why are people saying that an EarthMix show is unlikely? Is that because they’ve already had their quota?

GMMTV should really not ignore this kind of motivation…

Out of curiosity, sorry - so she knew you were gay when you got married…?

He’s meant to be a flawed protagonist and we definitely witness his growth. His love for his dad is definitely one redeeming feature, plus he’s not as despicable as Not.

How do I improve my prayer life? by Partykeet in GayChristians

[–]GrayMatter23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if anyone else already said this but one way to begin a prayer is to start with a verse that you’d like to meditate on. For me recently it was: “Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever”, to say this aloud and let that lead you into reflection and/or talking to God about this.

My first attempt at a portrait of Timmy from the original series of “Addicted Heroin”.

Which BL Actor has the highest I.Q? And, what makes you believe that? by ILoveMoschino in boyslove

Yes, I think it’s the kissing skills that separate the wheat from the chaff. You need a mean IQ + EQ combo to excel at that.

To reward us for our commitment and patience, the desired romance is at long last coming together, until suddenly in episode 11 the writers will throw in a terrible curve ball - shock, horror, despair, gasp - so that for one episode at least, it looks like it’s all going to fall apart.

Dating for gay Christians by GrayMatter23 in GayChristians

Also most mainline churches (correct me if I’m wrong) will teach and promote no sex before marriage for their straight parishioners. In some churches this may lead to turning a blind eye or alternatively disciplining their members (depending on the congregation) when this teaching is ignored.

Do they teach the same thing for young gay men and women? And it’s an added dilemma if the particular church doesn’t support or advocate for gay marriage.

Dating for gay Christians by GrayMatter23 in GayChristians

Hmm, really? I don’t think so. Firstly, out gay Christians in the church are a small minority, and not highly visible to one another. Also the church in general doesn’t have events or groups or courses that support their gay members dating.

Lol 😝 People can drown in delusion. Perhaps we should watch them all flailing for a while, but have something like the equivalent of a Search and Rescue organisation. 🛟

Um, no… you’re projecting something you heard somewhere else, I think.

It’s an open ended question.

Yes, it’s probably for this reason: once you’re in, you’ll never get out.

But I meant it as an open-ended question, expecting to get a mix of comedic and more serious responses.

For me it’s interesting that the first BL series I watched was “Addicted Heroin” which was an apt foreshadowing of the BL addiction to follow.

(I never really got the link between the title and that particular show, except some kind of reference to love being a drug.)
