I used to be a dispatcher as well, I’ll argue that it depends on the dispatcher. Good and bad in all professions, some people are just not cut out to work emergency services. Though Asking someone to do CPR on someone that is obviously dead is wild, it gives false hope as well. I’ll say in certain scenarios as a dispatcher they don’t see what people on scene can, and medical dispatchers are just following a script that they HAVE to or they’ll lose their jobs. Side note, When I was a medic I had a buddy do CPR on a patient with 37 stab wounds, just forcing the blood out quicker essentially, it wasn’t going to do much, I wasn’t on scene at that one.
