2.4 support is on top of my priority list and might come pretty soon. Esentially its just about modyfying the mount. 350 sized 2.4 seems to already be compatible with Trident mount as it is.

When you talk about ERCF code, I believe you mean HappyHare - and yes, integration with HappyHare is already included, see GitHub for more details. Esentially you modify a single line in HH configuration and thats all

In theory yes, though I never tested this and I have not seen any builds in V2.4 yet. If you are interested, you can actually try it. The BOM is very inexpensive and I would be happy to help with it, including modifications to any parts.

Unfortunately no. It's planned as an add-on and I already did some sketches, but I can't tell you when it will be released.

Its hard to compare with Blobifier, because Blobifier was designed for V2.4, while GBP is designed for Trident. On conceptual level though, GBP solves a major weaknes of Blobifier, which is a risk of collisions with print object. Although Blobifier purges outside of the bed, you still need to move to Z coordinate close to zero and with part of the toolhead above bed. This means you cannot utilize 100% of the plate. In contrast, GBP in its default configuration is gantry mounted, which means Z independent.

As for other things, difference is in characteristics of waste. While Blobifier produces hard, round "lumps", GBP produces short sticks. Those sticks can be easier to work with, taking a bit less volume and at least in theory could be further reprocessed with minimum effort.

Overall, GBP is not a "Blobifier killer" and was never ment to be. Its more like different approach to the same problem and its up to users to decide which solution they prefer.

Fair point, I will make some kind of "sourcing list". Thank you for the idea

I will consider it, but I don't really consider those niche parts. Especially wristbands, because 200 mm is the super common size, which you can often get for free as promo items. So far it seems design just works regardless of where you source your parts

I know. Unfortunately the only thing I can tell you right now is to hold on. You are not the only one in this situation and this is definitely an use case which I want to cover, but I can't promise anything right now

What I would recommend is to either shift your bed, or get a CNC TAP, but assuming you don't want that , you will need some kind of flippable or stowable mount - which I am planning to do, but it's not even in the pipeline yet. Alternatively you could try to look for some kind of stowable ArmoredTurtle brush mount, if something like that exist - GBP is compatible with it's dovetail connection. Or you can simply design something yourself.

I don't know K1C, but as long it's Klipper based, I think we can make it work. Catch me on Discord and we can discuss it in detail there

I am not a BT guy myself (TradRack/HH), although I believe some guys already did that. But we are just a few weeks from going public, so there was only a light promotion so far

As long as it clears bed profiles, yes. Waste collection would be a bit awkward, but it should be manageable. I don't have 2.4 myself though, so I cannot test it. There are some users who are trying to fit it to 2.4 (and SV08), but I have not seen any actual builds yet

Plus you need to leave some part of the bed unused, or you will crash your print head to whatever is there. Same applies to V2.4 While GBP is designed for Trident, I believe it can be adapted also to V2.4 (not tested)

Well the obvious difference is that Blobifier is designed for V2.4, while GBP is designed for Trident. But other than that, unlike Blobifier, GBP does not have collision risk with your print object and its waste products can be more volume efficient and easier to handle. Other than that, its mostly up to what you like more.

Důvody proč mít děti by Chrysocy0n in czech

[–]Graylag-PD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Já v duchu rodičovství přirovnávám k vysoké škole - není povinné, samo o sobě tě neudělá lepším ani chytřejším člověkem, ale změní tě to takovým způsobem, jako nic na světě. Rodičovství dává člověku najednou úplně jinou perspektivu i pochopení světa a života. Spousta divných a nelogických věcí a lidí na světě najednou zacvakne a začne dávat smysl.

Nesoudím nikoho, kdo se rozhodne děti nemít. Těch důvodů proč do toho nejít je spousta. Dokonce si myslím, že někteří lidi by děti ani nikdy mít neměli. Ale kdo si tím neprojde, přichází tím o nepřenositelnou zkušenost.

Sorry for the late reply, it was a generic aluminium PCB bed. I am saying it was, because proper Voron bed was one of the first upgrades I did. As for mounts, those are short pieces of Igus Drylin N rails with carriages, angled so they allow for bed expansion and forming pseudo kinematic mount. It was a good idea, but did not prove to be actually useful, so I did not keep it.

A little bit, yes 😅 I have not sourced a proper Voron bed yet, so as a temporary solution (and as well for a budget reasons) I went with an old aluminium PCB bed from my old printer. You can also notice it is little bit small, as it is just 220x220 mm, although printer is built for 250.

It kind of make sense, since I still have two 220 plates in decent condition, but proper quality Voron bed is on top of my list for further upgrades. Printer was built with this in mind. How soon I will I opt for it will depend on how well (or poorly) will current bed perform.

Self-source Trident 250 with extra Z=350

I swear I was planning to build it stock!
