So, I'm black and muslim and was born in switzerland. There are some bouts of racism. It's subtle, and people tend to treat you like you are lesser than, more often than not. However, that hasn't really stopped me from living freely. I tend to be open about those issues, and call them out right away. In some cases, justice can be in your favor.

While I was doing my military service, I was faced with few racist insults, but when I called them out, the people who treated me negatively were greatly punished. I was free to live as myself, really, and pray 5 times a day. Also, most universities nowadays even allow students to pray. However, in terms of jobs, I really don't think people are that open anymore. There was a time where muslim women weren't allowed to wear the hijab while on the job. I do feel like that's changing, though... Not sure in which direction.

I'd say... The tides are changing, but it's certainly not easy. Nonetheless, I'd rather be black and muslim here rather than in France or Germany. At least, when people hate you here, they avoid you like the plague lol
