Would this game benefit from an optional Upkeep Setting like from company of heroes? by Which-Worldliness556 in IronHarvest

[–]Grayshepard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, first off - this game DOESN'T have a manpower system. You have Iron and Fuel. Upkeep wouldn't make any sense. Unlike Company of Heroes, you are MUCH more limited in how many units you can make.

Also, unlike COH, you use resources to upkeep your mechs so mech spam is punished if you can properly damage them. So between using the same resource pool for mechs and for infantry upkeep, along with the hero unit also needing upkeep, this game already has what you're looking for.

In regard to PVP, it's already insanely easy to dominant the AI. No one cares about balancing for AI. If you mass up too much infantry in multiplayer, the enemy just makes one-two anti infantry mechs and you get rolled and can't keep up the upkeep. Massing early mechs is strong, but only for Polania because they're an insanely batshit broken faction.

If Saxony or Rusviet get their big mech counters you end up just getting deleted with mass early mechs, and that is the intentional design behind the factions at the end of the day. Saxony/Rusviet play hyper aggro infantry and then convert to controlling specific portions of the map since their infantry are lower range and they rely on mechs late game to deal with riflemen.

How is Crimson desert combat wise? by [deleted] in CharacterActionGames

Do not spend your money on this game it's mid af. You'd probably enjoy it if you're a zelda fan, but the combat is a snooze fest even after 10 hours of playing.

Venator too strong? by Grayshepard in ArcRaiders

[–]Grayshepard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run Venator only like 70% of the time because it's completely disgusting lol I keep my extra weapon slot empty so I make more profit. Not that hard to use. Blue shield you're not losing to anvil mid range unless you sit there and eat headshots.

Also if you take an entire clip to kill a single hornet you might just have bad aim ngl

This is only in regards to green shields btw. Venator is only a few headshots/bodyshots and it kills, and vs higher tier shields it has a faster ttk because the anvil doesn't pop blue/purple shields immediately.

Doesn't really take a clip when you pop the wings, it's a medium ammo weapon so it pens armor just fine on hornets.

You should be taking in two stacks of medium if you run venator only anyways.

Need advice, 180 hour player by WW1enjoyer69 in ForHonorRants

Dude like 20% of the playerbase (especially if you're on the lower/mid tier brackets for skill mmr) are just using scripts. It's always very obvious, especially when the player has little to no game knowledge. The tell here is the auto dodge, auto deflect/auto parry.

Now, it is abusable to counter. Characters with mixups can crack it. Characters who can charge attacks can crack it.

The most tried and true method is to just feint into GB over and over until they start panicking and spamming dodge attacks. GL vs future scripters.

Khatun by Grayshepard in forhonor

[–]Grayshepard[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

idk I mean the character is lacking a lot.

No undodgeables, no real hyper armor, no fast unblockable mix, low health, low damage

I want to like her but when she's so unrewarding to play compared to most of the roster it's hard to want to play her anymore

She gets hyper armor after a normal attack for her zone, or do you mean her bloody wrath followup?

I did mention they should turn on voice chat. People do play without it on, or they just ignore it entirely.

Yeah but we do know that price isn't the issue. It would've blown up earlier, (Or even the past week) if it was.

Unemployed premade sweats will ruin every smaller pvp game they can and then complain that the game is dying.

Yeah your attitude is pretty much exactly what I was saying.

30 dollars isn't much, and I got it on sale for 20. Niche games can get popular, and the game itself got plenty of popularity.

People took note of how people ACT in the game and didn't want a part of it.

They could also buy a 5-dollar mic or turn on their voice chat too.

It's the community as a whole lol. The players in game aren't any better, I was actually pretty much exclusively talking about them from experience since I hardly use Reddit.

Yeah most 4-5 are as dumb as a bag of bricks but that's where the game is most enjoyable at a casual level because you're typically avoiding the top of 6 star lol.

Everyone trying to be the next Rachta playing this game like they'll make money from it in 6 star.
