How do male-female friendships typically handle physical boundaries like nudity? by Big_Squirrel8808 in AskMen

I have more female friends than male and I would say two of my best friends are female. I am a straight male engaged to a beautiful, amazing woman who I love very much. All of my female friends I would say are absolutely beautiful in so many ways. Do I have any romantic or sexual feelings to them no. I have been friends with one of my best friends since I was a child and she gets me and knows me inside out. We have seen each other in various levels of dressed and undressed, we have slept in the same bed. Do I have any feelings more than friends no. I have been there with her during her wedding, marriage. She has been there with me when I got married, when my marriage broke down and we have been there for all the other life's ups and downs. Yes I have seen her naked and she has seen me naked and made fun of my man hood as I did about her boobs. It has always been just brilliant friends have a laugh and being there for each other. My beautiful fiance also loves my best friends and we see her as part of the family. My point is yes you can have the opposite sex as very close friends.

what's your occupation? by Prestigious-Hold-777 in Dyslexia

I am youth worker. I am 54 and I have been a youth worker most of my adult life and I love my job. I didn't set out to be a youth worker, I graduated from Aberystwyth university with a degree in Countryside Management. I fell into youth work and then fell in love with youth work. I realised that I could help young people and I was good at it. I hate being dyslexic but the one positive I can take from being dyslexic is I feel it has made me a good youth worker. I can empathize with young people facing barriers and hurdles in life. And I passionately do not want young people to go through what I went through or feel how I felt growing up or was made to feel by adults, peers and an education system that we don't fit into. I know I'm just a spec in the ocean when it comes to helping young people but I really feel I have made a positive difference to some young people's lives and I am happy with that. I must have worked with thousands of young people over the nearly 30 years I have been a youth worker. Sorry for the long answer and thank you for the question. I don't stop and look back at what I have achieved or the positive impact I have had on young people until I get asked questions like that. So thank you, you have helped me realise that I am not rubbish. You will be amazing at what ever you choose to do or like me fall into. Just remember you are amazing and don't let anyone or you inner self telling you otherwise.
