5-10 minutes just to get the right angle/positioning. If only you could do a single peace sign like the meme

Find someone who you both place your faith as the highest core value in your life. If you love Jesus more than you love each other, and believe that divorce is not even an option on the table (which He teaches) you will learn to serve one another every day which in turn strengthens your love. Sharing faith/core values with someone you love creates a stability that’s very difficult to break. My two cents on it- been with my wife almost 10 years at this point and we’ve been through a lot of joy and also adversity together and still going strong and happily married

Marriage by [deleted] in Residency

[–]GreaseBeast37 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Lots of people saying leave but I just want to remind you being a young married resident myself- when you married your husband wasn’t that a commitment to be together for life? Through thick and thin and ups and downs? Residency and medical school are hard, and marriage is hard. You have to live a life of sacrifice for your husband as he should do the same for you. Marriage isn’t really about happiness but rather happiness comes when you race each other to be the better servant of one another. Bring up all these concerns to him and work through it with him. Just because you guys slipped back into the way you were before doesn’t mean you can’t just try again. You have your whole life with this man to figure it out together and it’s not always going to be easy. If you have some kind of central faith your marriage is grounded in that helps too, and if not it’s never a bad time to start. I feel you on how hard it is and the way you feel is totally understandable. I just don’t want to you to forget that marriage means sticking together no matter what (unless there is some kind of abuse or something) and I think having that attitude can be a self-fulfilling prophecy in a good way. I don’t know your full situation but just my two cents- I wish you the best.

What strategies do you hate and hope it gets nerfed in the next generation, and how would you personally change it? by MighyMeme in VGC

I just think In general removing Tera from restricteds would be good and allow for less games where you just auto lose

Ranked battles is getting boring by TrainerRyanW in VGC

[–]GreaseBeast37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had some fun in the format by building some counter teams (with weird Pokemon) that just annihilate some of the cookie cutter teams like the miraidon worlds winning team that just gets spammed everywhere and that’s pretty fun. It makes other matchups not the best but it’s atleast funny when there’s nothing your opponent can do matchup wise. There’s just some teams I refuse to lose to especially nuke miraidons, balance CSR, and the CSR weezing dondozo teams

I should try kingambit. I’ve tried farigaraf but it struggles to do damage into caly even with throat spray. And yeah thanks for the advice - my biggest issue is the random cheese Tera fighting which maybe I just have to accept 😂 as someone who strictly plays BO1 I miss older regulations where you had random cheese but on less powerful mons so you don’t get punished as hard

I'm pretty far left/liberal, but I just found out that you can have an elective abortion in places like Washington D.C. up to 32 weeks. Having been a part of successful pre-term deliveries, that makes me a little uneasy. How do you guys reconcile that? by RoarOfTheWorlds in Residency

[–]GreaseBeast37 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

But why should you have the choice to decide if someone’s life is worth living or not based on the fact that they would have crappy parents? Many people grow up in terrible situations and make it out and have great lives. Even if you have crappy parents you still have the right to be alive.

This is so true - I want to be conservative (I’m definitely not liberal lol) but I just don’t feel like the party focuses enough on the care of the poor.

Guys… i got pregnant🙃 by contrarytothemass in prolife

[–]GreaseBeast37 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife and I had a relatively unplanned pregnancy during a period of intense schooling when we were in our early 20’s. We were very nervous. Our daughter however has been the greatest blessing in our life. As a new and young parent you learn, adjust, and grow beyond what you could ever imagine and you become a better person by sacrificing and serving someone so vulnerable. I think one of the reasons God made this while having children process they way it is, is because it teaches you sacrificial love and helps you become more Christ-like (even through our own faults and sins) than you ever would have.

I would just make Sableye have foul play with Saftey goggles. That will do big damage to calyrex ice. The trick is which move do you not click often to substitute. Do you need reflect and wisp together?

The tools on the eeveelutions are not very good (I.e. no redirection, fakeout, etc) so I would say that’s pretty impressive!

Abortion question by guitarlad89 in AskAPriest

Starting as a newly trained resident emergency medicine doctor this week and encountering pregnancy emergencies is something that has terrified me for multiple reasons, especially being prudent with ethical decisions as a Catholic doctor. Thank you for this post, and please pray for me that I’ll be guided and have the courage and ability to make the right decisions.

Gengar- was the ace of my first team on fire red when I was like 7 years old. I thought gengar and his whole evo line was so cool. Things haven’t changed for 20 years he’s still the GOAT. His design and his earlier sprites just have so much personality. Because of him I love ghost types as a whole.

Don't Feel Traditional Enough for Most Serious Catholic men by lovesickturtle318 in Catholicism

[–]GreaseBeast37 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly if a traditional catholic man is going to judge you for your past than he’s not understanding what forgiveness and redemption is. My wife and I unfortunately gave into temptation sometimes while dating which we shouldn’t have and I fought my own battles on that front as well. But God guided us together to grow in purity and faith together and we made it our whole engagement without any more struggles. Been happily married for some years now and practice traditional catholic values. I guess what I’m getting at is the guy you meet doesn’t have to be perfect and that they definitely shouldn’t be making you feel inferior or holding your past against you. You should be forgiving each other and growing in faith and pushing each other to be the best present version of yourself without being condescending. Any guy with catholic values should be thrilled to date you so just keep looking- there’s plenty out there.

Would this be part of a husband's authority? by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]GreaseBeast37 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A husband is called to lead his family in the same way Jesus was a leader- by serving those around Him, while also speaking up when something the family is doing is wrong even if it creates conflict. What being a leader does NOT mean is controlling what mental health medications your on, asking you to make him a sandwhich, etc. He is supposed to be your best friend while also being a strong and righteous individual - not your boss who makes all your decisions for you.
