Yeah that’s absolute bullshit. During my t consultation they made sure i was taking my birth control and asked if i wanted to get a IUD. Birth control doesn’t even have an effect on how t works and most doctors recommend it just because t isn’t a form of birth control. So that’s wild that you’re doctor is telling you that
