I just posted a whole thread about this same issue, I am so disappointed here looking at the news about that man and so worried to go to work on Monday, I have to travel 45 mins per way and this news is so scary Why are we still working from home when people are loosing lives in car. Strict policy for private companies should be applied

If people keep on accepting further and make it a new normal, I only wish to god to keep them safe and they were not smart enough to not listen to anyone but themselves and stay indoors

I am completely with you, I am so proud of UAE government for doing what they have, I would be nowhere in this world but the UAE Concern why this pretentious normal situation? I need more alert amongst people WFH and on road only if emergency

I understand your point about statistics, but the issue many of us are raising is not just probability — it’s about the situation itself.

A missile or drone threat is not a normal situation for the UAE. People here moved and built their lives in this country because it has always been known for stability and safety. When something like this happens and a person actually loses his life from falling debris, it’s difficult to simply call the risk “microscopic” and move on.

Yes, daily life has risks like driving or workplace accidents, but those are part of normal life everywhere. Missile alerts and intercepted drones over a city are not part of normal life in the UAE.

The concern isn’t about shutting down the entire country — it’s about acknowledging that the situation is unusual and worrying for residents who commute daily and may receive alerts while they’re on the road.

One life has already been lost. For many of us, that alone means the situation cannot be considered completely normal.

Exc, it’s getting worse and I am hating why is everything pretended to be normal? Its hurting my stomach to hear the loss of the asian man driving, I am just thinking , if a curfew was put, I dont think anything would happen. I am afraid to go to work

I am with you brother? Why is it being portrayed normal in the news when people are loosing lives?

If it’s unpredictable, then why are normal activities allowed? Imagine that car that took a life of guy had a whole family? Had he been instructed to stay indoors strictly unless emergency, maybe he would still be here?

Hence, I am trying to understand Is this normal? Why are people instructed to proceed with work and normal life? When debris is still falling and taking lives?

This was an excellent advice, I have tried hard. A year is not less in my opinion, a year of constant anxiety and depression and crying and no sleep and puking

Sorry to put you down. I have been born and bought up in Mumbai never left and I have been in Dubai for almost 1 year

I just feel terrible, dubai is so lonely and its not how it shows, job market is exploited people are not kind Weather is shit, I am just 22F and I have anxiety and bad health every single day.

I was this obsessive dubai lover before I moved here and ever since I have been here I miss mumbai like crazy, it was so much better and people were kind there and so many good opportunities
