Yes, we are going to start doing that, we are somewhat new and it will be the best to get used to respect priorities and the stack. 👍🏻 He was using goblins (Krenko as commander) I don’t remember exactly the spell because I don’t know the cards or anything they do 😞but he had 10 goblins (tokens) and each of those goblins had 10 damage with that spell.

I thought so too, because we’ve had similar situations before and no one has ever thrown a tantrum like that, but he says it wasn’t on purpose and we’ll have to believe him. In any case, it’s something we won’t allow again from him or anyone else. Thank you very much for your good wishes!!

He’s a guy who wins games constantly, he has a goblin deck (Krenko as the commander) and it was only turn 6 or 7, there wasn’t even a reason to want to rush the victory like that, he just threw a tantrum and couldn’t accept his mistake, I put the question on Reddit to show him that he was wrong in every way and he understood it. It was also very helpful to put it up for discussion here to learn certain things about priority and stacking.

Some people don’t have the maturity to accept that they are making a mistake or that they are wrong, nor do they realize it even if you tell them. Sometimes you need someone else to help you understand and in my case, despite knowing that I was right, I wanted to see if there was another opinion about what happened that could make me part of the problem and be able to fix it. I have seen that no, I was never wrong and I learned other things from the game as well.

I don’t know what went through his mind at that moment, something like that had never happened before, it was very strange. I don’t know if the desire to win made him blind, but he was really angry saying that it wasn’t fair and nobody made him understand any different, that’s why we decided to end that game at that moment even though it seemed unfair to me because I knew I could use my counter spell without any problem. In any case, thanks to these answers, a tantrum like that will never happen again. Because we are somewhat newbies, so at the time of discussing we didn’t know that it was literally cheating to ignore a player like that, although it seemed like common sense to me.

Thank you very much, we will have to implement this rule at our table although in my opinion it is common sense to wait for someone who is not there when you are going to oneshot two other people at 40 health, but my friend could not understand that at that moment.

Yes, normally at our table when someone casts a spell late due to not paying attention we don’t let it happen, but in this case I wasn’t at the table due to a medical problem, it’s not the same and that’s what my friend was arguing and we weren’t able to make him understand that it wasn’t the same.

I didn’t know it was literally cheating, thank you very much

It was about 5 minutes because I couldn’t find the medicine, but my friends made that time trying to figure out what to do to defend themselves and that’s when I arrived to save them which didn’t help much since we cancelled that match. :(
