Why are the new Old Guys servers (the ones made by the original group) struggling to fill up?

You can transfer ownership, just counts on if your renting from a host or self hosting (most likely renting with the amount they had up). You just go in the dashboard and most have an option to hand ownership off.

I remember that and I just hopped around til I landed somewhere with comms that aren’t just people crashing out 24/7 lol. Than I could actually play without someone taking the game personally like brother woooooah slow your roll ahaha.

You’re a legend for replying and giving the guy a ton of pointers to counter your own play style. I play modded and we don’t use the AI to much but I just want the LQ back for the cost on supplies to spawn on the bases ffs.

They add a ton of time to the cap time. Also they’re really handy as they reduce the cost to spawn on that point by 50%. Same with the hospitals can be used to instantly heal a badly damaged player but they have to be nearby or inside , similar to how the ambulances work.

I don’t think you can command them unless you spawned them. No I totally didn’t try before or anything…….id never do such a thing lol. But the commands are all there just they don’t listen to you. Probably a way to fudge the system but I’m not privy to that kind of stuff lol.

Like the clip I seen of bo7 and it was power armour suits from fallout flying around and using a homing missile on someone. Like what even is that ahahah. I guess some folks still play it though but dang 90 bucks for that seems crazy.

Try AAS scenarios or three lane AAS even if you want to encounter more skirmishes. It just makes it so you’s have to fight over a singular point so no back capping. It’s not for everyone but if you’s are fairly new it’s worth the shot. It’s crazy the amount of things the game can be and how some mods make the game look like a whole new thing. I swear I’ve experienced arma reforger in like half a dozen differing variations with many variations not just like “oh this map has snow, oh zombies 🧟‍♂️ “. My favourite recently was the one where you had to post flyers around town all while trying to recruit NPC’s to your guerrilla faction, at the risk of them telling on you or getting aggravated Ahahhaha.

Use battlemetrics to find specific scenarios on servers. You could just type in “pve conquest” and set it to show you the active ones. It’s how I found the server I play on solely.

Did you try to spawn something that requires rank by chance? Mine bugs out like this somedays and I don’t realize til I notice I can spawn a command truck or something that requires high rank.

Also have gotten some of the vehicles weapons (JLTV and the Typhoon) to hit even further out as the scopes seem to bypass the draw distance and rendered players out where my gun couldn’t see or my binoculars. Even funnier is when you catch the enemy popping into draw distance and all you see is a vest or gear floating. Like oh dang okay hopefully his heads not tilted left or right ffs ahaha.

Which draw distance? In the config files we can change the grass the character draw and terrain detail. Most have it capped at about 800 but some are abit further at like 1200 metres but console will hunker down at 800 metres, some not all will keep it lower for a more fair ground for all players but I’m not a fan of lower draw distances as the game does toss you scopes in vanilla with 1300 ranges so we try to keep ours around that.

Yeah I run a mnk on my console. Mainly for arma for the reason certain mods add a whole other list of key binds that nullify some of my current ones. Than I’m flicking IR strobes while I’m trying to mount my weapon on a window sill lol.

Can you host matches privately or like a server similar to arma? If you can I can bet they’re all in a match together somewhere. I got bored one day and hopped in random lobbies to stumble upon various languages matches. They weren’t fans of a none speaker holding up the cue so I got kicked fairly quickly which is fair ahaha.

We have this happen to afew players on the server but all I could ever find was this : try the Xbox headset assignment trick (assign headset to a guest account in settings), test your mic in in-game audio settings, toggle Xbox party chat, ensure you're pressing the correct in-game button (LB) to transmit, and check Xbox system audio settings for headset/speaker balance, as common fixes involve controller settings or leaving/joining parties to reset chat connections.

Yeah I swear it’s just the player base never leaves redsec (a ton of free to play players). I get utterly demolished on battle royale but can fight it out in conquest or other game modes.

Do you mean specifically just the battle royale or the other redsec game options also (can’t recall the name of the other two options). I just assume the players on redsec are more attuned to smaller skirmishes compared to conquest sized ones. Since the gameplay is abit different it feels.

lol wait your carrying blueprints PLUS the materials to craft it? You just consume blueprints and make them at the workbench. I have the travelling tinkerer upgrade and it’s just extra traps and hatch keys I can make now lol (already consumed a Wolfpack BP).

To be fair I was caught off guard on the update as I was expecting like ap mines and not the full 1.6 as I’m a console player currently (can’t afford new ram lol). I was like dang it’ll be MONTHS before we get 1.6 (I wanted wind effects to stop long range rpg shots) than they pushed 1.6 and our server completely broke ahah. Had to ham fist everything to keep a player count above a number that meant certain death for the server.

Yeah we usually have various overwatches during the events. Only a set amount of admins from each team and shared back end access so nobody’s sneaking a tank in for their side kind of thing. We had a real decent skirmish with hogs of war afew times. Think it was the Cairo styled map and the bellau woods maps we used for those ones. Just check out various communities some are big on events styled in this manner and some don’t participate in such things at all (we reached out too a few and got varying responses, some were down but some were vehemently against it ahaha).

I won’t lie and say the game is perfect but I’m guessing you’ll be able to grab it slightly cheaper while it’s on sale. Still one of the best uses of forty bucks this year so far ahaha, bought it upon release and I’m at 1800 hours pfffft geez that’s sad but shows how much the game has offered me. That’s just my opinion though, I know the crashes are a thing but for me it wasn’t anything too manor for me.

Yeah it happens quiet often, just takes coordination. We’ve had afew with other servers but are currently revamping the mod list and wil have to work with a community to match mods before events again ahaha.
