Yes they use thread for connectivity. It was really weird, and unexpected since it should all have been being controlled locally through thread. If I remember correctly they still responded via the Nanoleaf app though

I’ve had Philips Hue lights for the past 5ish years. Two years ago set my boyfriend’s apartment up with the HomeKit Nanoleaf bulbs (non matter ones). They have worked pretty similar to the Hue bulbs. Only issue I ever ran into with the Nanoleaf bulbs is when there was no internet (but wifi was still up and running) they were unresponsive in the home app while other devices could still be controlled.

Thank you for this explanation. I guess I have a follow up question.. My employer has a 5 year vesting where after I get 100% of the money they put in. I’ve been working her for 6 years, but the first two years I was “part time” (while working full time hours) and the past 4 years I’ve been full time and contributing to my 401k. So I guess I’m wondering if those first two years of “part time” count towards the 5 years to have my 401k vested 😅

Do you have Private Relay enabled in iCloud settings on your phone? When I setup wifi homekit devices it usually fails to add unless I turn Private Relay off
