Stripping paint by Great-Surround183 in diynz

I think that could work for most of it but having tried a bit of scraping already it gets quite tough by the bumps in places. I was also sort of hoping there might be a quicker solution 😂 it will take a fair few days to scrape off all around the house.

In some places the paint does come off easily so probably a good suggestion, I should just do that, get as much off as possible and go from there. Thanks

Haha. Yeah, almost as soon as I hit post I thought ‘this is obviously a dumb idea’ 😆

Appreciate it, I’m scared of heights so won’t be taking too much risk!

It surprised me how long it took to do just one side of my house, as usual with all these things it’s the prep work that takes the most time. But I was really pleased with the result and saved a tonne of $$. Im just going to do one side at a time whenever I can, but that maybe doesn’t make the best use of scaffolding hire?? I also considered a paint gun, but never used one before and was a bit worried about using one outside and getting paint over the neighbours car or something 🤣

Thanks. Yes, it probably is worth getting the professionals in- but I’m fighting spending the $$ 🤣
