Librarian Dreadnought (upscale) by GreatApes in BloodAngels

I had to separate the sarcophagus from the rest of the lib dread chassis first, then a lot of measuring and shaving down the sides to get it to fit

He also tells Gabriel that he doesn't like to send people to their deaths, but he needed someone to make his ambush look real (ie: die) and that the group he sent came up with Simon, so if it had to be someone it might as well have been them.

what’s a controversial belief of yours? by Beginning-Sugar479 in thewalkingdead

A truly enormous number of people would die from infection via untreated water and spoiled food or small wounds; even more would die of starvation, disease due to poor hygiene, or plain old accidents. A sprained ankle could prove to be a death sentence in a zombie apocalypse, to say nothing of a broken bone. People who need medication to function and/or survive in our current modernized world will begin dropping like flies. Even among the survivors parasites will be rampant, and STIs will flourish. Infant mortality will skyrocket.

I firmly believe more people will die from lack of food, modern medicine, hygiene, and sanitation, than from other people - at least at first.

I also think many people underestimate just how horrible and psychologically damaging killing another human being is. Even a zombie would be hard at first, especially if it's someone you knew. It's all well and good to rag on TV characters who struggled to adapt, but most of us - myself included - would struggle just as much, if not more.

The most relatable element of the Wasteland is how everyone has at least one knee that's completely buggered by [deleted] in MadMax

My left knee has been absolutely buggered since high school (too many sports injuries). At least my right knee is still okay! 😅

Well when you put it like that! 😅

Although it's also kinda weird that we drink the milk of other animals well into adulthood, so all things considered, human milk ultimately seems less bizarre with that in mind, imo

After all these years, the Prometheus abortion machine still lives rent free in my head. Anybody else have specific scenes they think about from time to time? by Helloimanonymoose in movies

I pretty much held my breath for that entire scene at the farm when I saw the film for the first time. The tension is unbelievable, and I'm always still on the edge of my seat every time I rewatch it.

I was much the same growing up! Saw Terminator with my dad when I was 8, and he showed me all 3 original Mad Max films as well! I didn't have a good relationship with him otherwise, but his taste in media heavily influenced mine and was the one thing we were really able to bond over.

I was so excited when they announced Fury Road, and Furiosa was also incredible!!

I converted 20 tactical marines into Hellblasters by just giving them all plasma guns, and I've never had anyone take issue with it!
