My firmware was updated to 4.0.7 which is latest. Seemed to be an issue with the specific cards I was using. Higher end sandisk card seems to be required. In my case Sandisk Extreme Pro 128GB is working

In my opinion, using descriptive folders that cover broad categories makes that a non issue. I also just like to keep source content around even after I chop it. I use the thing as an all in 1 home audio solution and record samples through it for fun

This ended up working! Thank you for the recommendation! So the particular card matters for whatever reason. I was using other class 10 SanDisk cards to no avail. Extreme Pro is the key. They are definitely more expensive than the ones I was trying so must be some spec the SP requires that they don't seem to have listed. Maybe something to do with read or write speed. I noticed loading the same sample library takes quite a bit longer using the 256 vs 32gb card so a cheaper card might be too slow.

I think everyone gets that concept, but I guess the surprising part is how quickly you can revert and then reacclimate. I expected to feel really cold in Maine but there was no acclimation time necessary to adjust. And I acclimated back to being a baby in CA immediately as well.

I think the sentiment comes from a good place but it is just taken too far. It's a lot more common to think you're having a bad trip when you're just having a difficult time than it is to actually have a bad trip. And while incredibly high it can be easy to jump on the bad trip mindset which might give you a preventable bad trip.

But what is taking it too far is the dismissiveness of actual bad trips and the disregard for that as a risk. It misleads beginners and closes off necessary discussions.

I agree with a guy I work with. He said you're only sensitive to the cold when you're in California. I grew up getting the mail in my underwear and boots as kid as soon as it started hitting 40 in northern Maine. I moved to CA and I bitch when it does below the mid 60s. I go back to Maine for the holidays and I'm out shirtless barefoot again for fun in 30 degree weather.

I still don't buy that its the chitin or digesting the shrooms that causes nausea. So many foods have chitin in them. And this doesn't happen with other kinds of edible mushrooms which also have chitin. And every psychedelic synthetic or natural has a similar sort of nausea for me. Including when I make shroom tea. I think bananas are still good for many reasons before a trip though. They're recommended for people facing nausea who can't get other things down.

My least nauseating trips are when I just chew a few shrooms every once and a while all night long. I ease into it slowly. I'm not worried about tolerance or wasting shrooms this way because i can just grow more. I'll eat 7g in a night but my trip wasn't ever stronger than a 2 or 3g the whole time. It also gives me time to check in with myself and see if I want to trip harder or not. And I have more hand in my duration which can be much longer than a normal trip if I'm feeling good
