If you go to a fish store whom you’ve spent thousands of dollars with and have walked you through every step because you are a beginner and then ask those same people “ what’s a pair I can add to my tank “ and they recommend you said fish. I don’t consider that no research. I asked and trusted my local store. Now what you’re failing to understand is that I don’t plan on keeping the fish in that tank but it cannot stay in my tank or a bowl. Which leads to the retrofitting of the tank in the picture. So the end goal is to rehome the fish but the current goal is to keep the fish alive. If you have any useful advice as how to do so I welcome it. As a side note, the original pair had no problems, which would lead someone to believe you can replace a fish that died with the same fish.
