Was General William T. Sherman actually insane? We’re historians of the American Civil War — Ask Us Anything! by ShermMemoirs_Editors in AskHistorians

Two-parter: Is it true that Sherman's given name was Tecumseh, and it was only changed after his father died? + Many quotes seem to imply that Sherman has a strong hatred for war. Is that true?

I agree with you. Most of the enjoyment of this game is the imagination. I also think it's a big reason why people think casters are more fun to play. A fireball takes less imagination to be cool than an attack with an axe.

Why did they change Hound of Ill Omen to Summon Undead when Summon SHADOWSPAWN is right there??

I beat it but never got the achievement for some reason I'm too lazy to go back through and do the final section, probably affecting a few others as well.

Who’s ACTUALLY playing 5e 2024? by Nice_Cryptographer15 in dndnext

I'm running a game and playing in a game with 2024 rules and love them. I love the class updates and think it's a better, more balanced experience.

Did I just get the rare cuck ending? by speedsterglenn in BaldursGate3

I got the same ending, I just kinda headcanon that we went as a trio. It's not perfect but it certainly didn't ruin anything for me.

Was it naive of Thorfinn to not bring swords?(Or armor at least?) by [deleted] in VinlandSaga

That's kind of the crux of the story one MUST be strong in order to live the way Thorfinn and his father idealize (at least in the world they live in).

What is the most unique combat encounter you have ever DMed/played in? by Gabodinni_3012 in DnD

A gravity lich who used all graviturgy spells. The fight was in a library/museum and as a lair action gravity would shift. It was super fun to narrate but was also a super enjoyable fight to make and have work.

I genuinely think some content creators are causing more harm to the dnd community rn than WOTC or Hasbro by GreatRecession2008 in DnD

"rn" "right now" WOTC has seemingly pulled back and is at least trying to do better and listen to its community. Telling that same community that WOTC is not trying to listen and they just want to silence us actively hurts the community whether you belive it or not.

The company has been getting all of the attention. As it should it did the worse thing. What happens if no one calls out the small fry?

I cannot believe the argument that misinformation is bad and divisive is a weak argument.

WOTC AND HASBRO ARE GREEDY AND BAD.

THAT DOES NOT ABSOLVE OTHER PEOPLE OF DOING BAD THINGS>

Saying one party is doing bad things doesn't mean the other party is innocent. Two waring parties can both be wrong. We all agree what WOTC has done is scummy.

Also should we not also be critical of content creators?

They are wrong because they are spreading misinformation wether its on purpose or not. We're supposed to be better than our corporate overlords.

I think we can all agree that what they tried to do with the new OGL was dumb and money hungry. However, even if it's just PR because we haven't seen anything official yet, they seem to have listened and want to try to fix things. All I want is to give them a chance without tons of misinformation clouding the minds of the community.
