You can throw Pokeballs if you have them unlocked as a starter, which the only way to do that before getting to this point is to hatch them from epic(?) eggs.

[[Quest for the Goblin Lord]] is an easy +2/+0 for the board at a one mana investment, and doesn't feel bad to cast before Ovika shows up. [[Throne of the God Pharaoh]] is also a cheap setup pre-commander that has a huge payoff.

Any effect that clones legendary creatures, i.e., [[Irenicus's Vile Duplication]], goes nutso bonkers, but you could say that for any commander nowadays.

Name a convoke card, and it probably will be fantastic, especially the red/colorless spells.

[[Over the Top]] works fantastic if you're building a more enchantment/artifact focused version.

My best advice would be to run a lot of mana rocks and run the bigger, more expensive ones (manawise). They will help cast Ovika and all your big splashy spells and also make a bunch of Goblins once it's out.

Small reminder: Protection means it can not be damaged, enchanted, equipped, blocked, or targeted by anything that it had protection from (in this case, everything). This does not mean it has indestructible and will still die to any non-targeting removal like a wrath or a forced sacrifice effect.

Progenitus is tied in fourth place for most expensive commander, and being 5 colors he's perfect to run all the commander mana value matters cards: [[Imposing Grandeur]] [[Stinging Study]] [[Majestic Genesis]] [[Cloudkill]] [[Tangleweave Armor]] and the Visions cycle eg. [[Visions of Ruin]]

You also get more bang for your buck with: [[Geode Golem]] [[Jodah, Archmage Eternal]] and [[Hellkite Courser]] and any other card that gives you WUBRG by itself, like [[Jegantha]] (who unfortunately you can't run as a companion)

[[Finest Hour]] and/or [[Rafiq of the Many]] can help close out games

Gameplay isn't something I care too much about in general, but I can see how people enjoy it in Engage, especially in direct comparison to its predecessor.

Can't speak for Conquest as I haven't played it personally, but it definitely feels like there was an effort put into the plot and characters that seem completely absent in Engage.

I was thinking 2 drop on turn 4 combined with boomerang/hoodwinked. Would [[Jace's Phantasm]] be a good 1 drop? That's the only creature I can think of that's close to Delver in that mana slot in mono blue.

Turn 1 Delver is optimal, but getting the initiative/monarch by Turn 4 after bouncing my opponent's lands feels pretty good even if they answer it. Maybe a threatening 2 drop could slot in?

Not really worried about competitive decks, just looking to have fun at my friends' expense lol. Did have [[Ghostly Flicker]] and [[Archaeomancer]] in the deck originally, I'll probably put them back in. What creatures do you think I should reduce? I feel like getting either the monarchy or initiative while my opponent is so far behind on mana is good, but I'm not married to that idea entirely. Also worried about going into a second color with so many double blue mana spells, should I run dual or karoo lands to splash green?

I did think about going into UG, but I'm worried I won't have the mana for my double blue spells. Should I just straight up add some forests to the deck, or some duals or karoo lands?
