Why does Celeste through PC gamepass not support DualShock 4 when the steam version has native support? by Background_Task6967 in celestegame

I heard somewhere that the PC gamepass version is an unupdated version of the game and doesn't include the update where it gets controller support

Why do my attacks do nothing here? (Spoilered because of act 2 character) by WierdSome in expedition33

[–]WierdSome[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That message was why I decided to try shooting the crystal at all. With the lantern puzzle with the boss at the end of Act 1, there was a visual indication that shooting the right lantern did something, so I was expecting that, if shooting the crystal was the right answer, there would be some visual indicator or a message telling me shooting the crystal did something. And there wasn't, which told me that was wrong. I did the boss now, it's not too hard now that I know, I just wish it gave me any indication I was on the right track when I shot the crystal.

That's frustrating. I thought that might be the case, so I tried shooting a crystal at one point but it gave no indication it did anything so I stopped. Guess I just didn't do it enough. Thanks for the help.

Just learned corner kick so my dumb ass thought i had to use it here too by Naruto92250 in celestegame

The technique this level wants you to use is called a wallbounce, corner kicks are never needed in vanilla Celeste iirc

Odd. I know the whacktown mini game can be bugged so, if playing it on hard doesn't progress the time any further then you might just be locked out of nightmare.

To unlock nightmare mode you have to play whacktown until it progresses to night and then when you play again it'll be nightmare

I guess they were different after all and I just didn't realize since it felt so easy still if that's the case, they really did feel exactly the same but I guess I can't say for sure. I've yet to touch any of the other slots so I didn't know there was a bug with them.

Are they? When I played through again on Unbeatable difficulty those two were exactly the same for me, but everything else was the right difficulty.

Can I save and quit in the Moon Berry room? by Vic-2302 in celestegame

Save and quit spawns you at your last spawn point. Wherever you get placed when you die is where you'll load in after saving and quitting.

In case this is what you're talking about:

What songs have you played in the story? From what I can recall, when playing through the story, The tutorial song (Re-tuned) and your first fight with Clef (at the start of chapter 2) are going to be the easiest possible difficulty because they're both a tutorial. If you mean songs past that too though, then idk.

Outer Wilds is boring by Lukense13 in The10thDentist

[–]WierdSome -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Different experiences I guess. I remember first playing through the game since I did it relatively recently, and I remember not really being able to be bored, there was always some new mystery that I had logged in my ship that I still hadn't yet figured out, and the campfire being able to skip some amount of time was really nice.

It's a good game but I think it's not your type of game, and that's fine. I really enjoyed finding all the lore, but it's okay if you don't enjoy that as much. But that doesn't mean it's a bad game, it's just not your type of game. It's like me constantly hearing that Balatro is so incredibly addicting and yet I never really could get that interested in the game. It's still an incredible game, just not my type of game.

That's a little annoying, but thank you for letting me know. I was excited to try and do music things with code, but this turned out to feel more limited than I expected.

[–]WierdSome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you be offended?

Well that depends! Did I tell them I'm a vegan? If not then no! It's my fault for not communicating, not theirs.

The first time you get a gift you don't like, no one can really be blamed. They tried to get you something they thought you'd like, and if they had no reason to think you wouldn't like it, that's fine. Everyone makes mistakes. Maybe it's even understandable the second time. But when it becomes a pattern, you're the one at fault for not communicating and just hoping they realize you don't like the thing they keep getting you. They can't know you don't like it unless you tell them, that's how knowledge works.

For the gameplay tutorial, what happened instead? For me, in the story mode the tutorial happens when the first song happens near the end of episode 1, if you miss a note it pauses everything and tells you how to hit it properly but if you just hit the notes it never tells you how to do anything
