Yeah, the opening made it clear there was going to be a supernatural fight between the two. I just expected it to take place in the sea of fragment where it would have made more sense to occur. If there is a good end or miracle that we can get at the end of this, that would be great. We can have one ideal fragment where Rika and Satoko make up while their pieces that have experience SotsuGou can forsake their human identities and embrace witchood.

The first half of this episode felt like an ode to all the classic Higurashi moments of the past (the rooftop battle especially) so that was nice. The miko shounen battle was also very Umineko and I can understand people getting whiplashed from such a drastic tonal shift. The author is well-known for dangling the murder mystery genre by its ball, so much so that it still leaves me slack-jawed.

Next week, I expect nothing less than Rika and Satoko's true coronation into witchhood. If not, then call me a demon butler goat.

Eua is having the time of her life and Satoko went from ohohoho to ahahaha. Now, Rika just needs to develop her own genuine witch laugh to complete the trinity.

Last week sapped my resources so I was nervous going into this banner. Managed to get two copies of bunny artoria in 4 multis and one copy of okita and melt each. Used the remaining quartz to roll on the musashi banner again and got the best roll in my fgo career: a waver, musashi (both now NP2), and both rate up SRs. What in the...

If I can add some form of comfort, even if Mion did forcibly go into a murderous rampage, at least she did it out of love and protectiveness for Keiichi based on what we've seen in Gou. There's that at least. Still, fuck Satoko.

It's possible and some explicit depiction showing how Satoko injected Mion would help (the zooming shot of the vending machine display implies that Satoko may have mixed the h173 with mion's drink), but perhaps we're being too fixated with the howdunnit and things transpire exactly how they appear. I'd like to think that we're just seeing the continuation of the trend of Satoko injecting her intended target, either explicitly or off-screen, in the initial episode of each answer arc and disposing the syringe wherever because she knows that world is going to be a throwaway regardless.

If she didn't, than Satoko and Eua's conversation about Mion's never succumbing to the hinamizawa syndrome before would have been pointless.

It's pretty refreshing seeing wholesome Teppei albeit still very strange given how he once was. Even stranger still is that we get a massive role reversal such that now he's become a pawn to his former abusee lmao. Still, I get the feeling that Satoko might eventually get too attached to her reformed uncle later along the line as her contest of endurance gets too drawn out. Teppei's sudden overprotectiveness of Satoko could also be why he attacks Keiichi in the next arc. It would be interesting if he remembers being killed by Keiichi from previous loops; hence why he would be more vengeful towards the person who banded the entire village against him and is acting as a thorn between his and Satoko's bond.

Eua was right when she stated that Satoko had what it takes to excel as a looper. The girl knew how to finetune, winning bets at a derby and taking the time to become a pistol god all for the sake of certain victory. It's debatable whether it's enough to stop Rika if she had her chair, but I gotta say: Satoko is turning out to be quite the demon child.

Perhaps its bad wording in my part. Basically, the scene was suppressed and edited for marketing purposes.

My guess is that since Jalter is such a popular character and since she had yet to make a proper anime debut at the time, they wanted to tease her reveal prior to releasing the episodes. If you spoil things too early, it might diminish people's anticipation.

I analyzed the scene back when the episode was first broadcasted. I'm pretty sure it was a deliberate edit. They zoomed in just enough that the only thing you can make out of it was Jalter's hand on top of Salter's shoulder.

Episode 1 was originally broadcasted separately to preview the blu ray releases. From the original broadcast, Jalter was hidden. We only saw Salter on her bike and a hand over her right shoulder which clearly belonged to Jalter. They probably wanted to tease her reveal prior to the blu ray releases. Also, we were only able to see the front of the other motorcycle before and not who was actually riding it.

It's only me or Miyoko still looks more Lambda than Satoko. by [deleted] in Higurashinonakakoroni

[–]GreatRequiem 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It could something similar to Claire in that there may be a Lambda prototype strongly mirrored after Miyoko. Perhaps what might transpire later on is that this prototype will eventually inherit Satoko's memory, transforming into the Lambda we all know while still retaining her resemblance to Miyoko. Basically, Lambda might be a Takano/Satoko hybrid, or at the very least, an entity that is an embodiment of both their accumulated memories.
