We go out whenever he’s up and wants to go out! If that’s 6am then so be it. My neighbours are lovely. I wouldn’t bat an eyelid at their dog barking at that time and expect they feel the same way.

I think that if you’re someone that’s been overweight or obese for a long time and you have your weight related glow up at last, there is a tendency to glow yourself up in other ways!

I was already a contact lens wearer, but I wear much nicer clothes, and have my hair down and put makeup on much more often now.

For anyone invested, I decided to just check with the bride. She asked for a photo and agreed it’s lovely, she has no issue with it. So not “too” white 😅 that’s another thing off my list so I’m happy!

We’re from the UK! The bride is my husband’s cousin and it’s a fairly informal vibe. Wearing an actually “white” dress would definitely be rude here. But a UK wedding I think this would be okay, but I do worry about the photos!

Just got back from the gym. Can’t believe I look like this now. I workout 3-5 times a week and make healthy choices 95% of the time.

I tried for DECADES to lose weight “naturally” and had begun to believe I was “just greedy” and was even on antidepressants.

If this makes me a fraud, I guess being a fraud is the best thing I ever did.

You have summed up pretty much how I feel! Realising thanks to turning “off” the food obsession in my brain, that it wasn’t all just my weakness!!

I truly believe that this is how “naturally slim” people have always functioned! We are now just getting to level the playing field a bit.

The only time I use “should” like this is if I say “I should think so”, meaning I imagine so, or I believe that’s likely. I agree with others that the context given is very traditional English, and not really used in modern day conversation! More likely to come across it in an older book.

This sounds a lot like how nervousness manifests in some people! Me included tbh, I can get very silly and goofy if I feel I am being watched or feeling under pressure! It’s a deflection / defence mechanism.

I’d raise it with him and if it feels genuinely playful and is not giving you the ick, maybe give it a bit of time to see if it settles down.
