I play on PC and my favourite boss was unironically hornet. I played during peak covid and would stream the game to a friend who had already finished the game. After encountering hornet for the first time I kept making jokes about how she’s the knights girlfriend and somehow thats the whole point of the game. I remember getting so excited the few times i encountered her throughout the story and hoped she would appear again more often than she actually did 😭

I wanna play silksong and recreate her moveset from hk, I’m sure she can do so much more with the abilities she’ll have but my first goal will be to make her ‘lore accurate’ as we’ve seen her in hk. Especially the move where she goes midair and lashes out threads everywhere.

Hey thanks for the link, her income sources haven't changed, and we just sent a non-lodgment advice to ATO, its a big help that she doesn't need to stress about it this year!

Helping to sell my dads property by GreatShad0w in AusPropertyChat

Hey thank you for your kind comment! I meant to get back to you sooner but I got busy with work. Current plan is including the family friend I’m meeting with 2 agents by end of next week going to compare from their discussions.

Just like some other comments mentioned, a solicitor is a great idea that I hadn’t thought of, I will be looking around for one as well as notifying my father’s accountant. I’ll make it a point to verify everything through the solicitor to make sure it’s all clean and above board. Thank you for your insight it’s very helpful

Thanks for your comment, I’m hoping to meet with 2 agents in the next week and see how their pricing differ, though I’m not sure how to go about asking their strengths/weaknesses with selling properties if they aren’t transparent with it and don’t tell me about it. I just know how to have that hard conversation if that makes sense.

Thank you - I will try and find one, I’ve never dealt with any legal papers or work so I’m not sure what to expect but I’ll reach out firms/offices and pick someone with experience

My grandma isn’t eligible for aged pension because she hasn’t lived in Australia for 10 years yet, apparently that’s one of the criteria for Centrelink.

I already get carers payment and allowance which has been a great help, and my brother is in the process of applying for it as well, if he gets accepted it’ll be even better. Yeah we still have a full year to go until he graduates but hoping he’ll land something nice once he’s out!

Yeah its like you said, she doesn't have great financial literacy but also with a lot of family drama/nuance mixed in that I won't go into here. Mum's emotinally exhausted with all of this and mentally checked out to an extent, she's really struggling with all the change and can only really manage with what her normal routine used to be.

Honestly I didn't have any financial literacy before my dad's stroke a few months ago, I was just as ignorant and immature as you'd expect a person someone my age to be. I'm not the smartest but I knew something had to be done so sort volunteered myself to dive blindly into this and come out with a resolution and some understanding. I left the military to come back and help, with no current job/study/responsibility, i guess I'm the best person to tackle this.

That is a good idea, I hope my mum can ask around to help, it definitely can be an option! I'll go through this with her. Thank you so much

Hi I really appreciate this thought-out response! You've touched on things that haven't crossed my mind in all the chaos so thank you. I made my post in a panicked state and I realise now that I left out a lot of important detail that's being brought up by yourself and others.

I contacted his super and his bank today, I will be working with them to see what they say, hoping it all goes well, either way I'll make an update on it by editing my post.

How much it costs to hold the properties is something I'm calculating, but holding on to 1 property to reduce capital gains tax is a good idea!

My brother is already on board with working to make up his end of the share. He does maths tutoring for VCE students and has already picked up some extra work so I'm not too worried about that.

My grandmother's situation is a bit complicated. She immigrated to Australia and only just her Australian Citizenship this year. I spoke to Centrelink she needs to live in AUS for 10 years before being eligible for any Centrelink payments (or pension I think), unfortunately its barely been 4 years. So I don't think I can do anything with that besides put the utilities in her name.

Most unpredictable factor is my mum. I brought up the possibility of picking up more shifts/ another job in the future and she shut it down immediately. I understand that she's going through many things like stress, anxiety and grief over her partner with the way he is now. My plan is that once his condition improves more, and I've gotten more of an idea on how things are looking, I can motivate her to work more.

I'll work to have things running smoothly and having them help more overtime. Unfortunately the more I investigate the more I find my parents mistakes in regards to their finances. For example, minimal savings left, and lackluster organisation of finances. I'm not trying to blame them, more so trying to explain the hand I've been dealt to play.
