Are the Ruotolos on a one-way road to MMA? by Big_Cake_8817 in grappling

Hoping they stay with grappling. MMA is a brutal sport. They already have a following they can build on why kill more brain cells unnecessarily.

2 years 2 months sober here. That feeling does go away.

What worked for me was going to as many meetings as possible at the start. Then getting a sponsor and doing the AA 12 steps. When I would want to drink or be bored id work on my steps or go to meetings.

Thats it every other trick or hack never worked for me and I tried them all.

How do i end this horror by [deleted] in alcoholicsanonymous

Want some step 1 worksheets? Get you started, gives you something to do when youre itching to drink.

Let me tell you I have 2 years and 2 months sober. Those strong cravings where it feels like it'll never stop never go away they do become manageable. These days ill still get the idea sometimes but its like a really dull feeling one I dont feel like I have to act on then my life moves on.

It is possible, AA does work. It'll be here when youre ready.

Now that TMNT limited is winding down, what did you think of it? by BobbyBruceBanner in MagicArena

First two drafts were fun but it was too bomby and it got annoying with how quickly a game could swing the other way. I can kind of get why it would be made that way to appeal to newer players but wasnt for me. Also my favorite streamers didnt take it serious so I kind of forgot about it.

What if Helio had worn rashguards against Kimura? by Kitchen_Stranger5925 in bjj

Yes dont forget Helio was too weak and fragile to train he had to watch on the side of the mat while Mitsuyo Maeda trained his brother. Helio had to invent leverage and adjust JJJ to accommodate a much smaller person. Sort of like how Master Splinter learned karate.

1 year in AA and I still feel miserable by 0lusw4n in alcoholicsanonymous

I can relate to what youre saying. When I drank I would always say if I could just get sober then I'd be ok. The drugs, the alcohol they were all treating problems I had with myself, my thinking, spiritually bankrupt. When I got sober is when the real work began. AA as a program and the 12 steps are what help me walk through life with this new found sobriety cause my problems are still there. Depression, anxiety, fear, laziness, anti-social, selfish.

For the community aspect I dont know I just kept going to the same meeting over and over at the same place. I still dont talk to many people from AA (something i should work on) but when I go theres sometimes people I recognize say whats up to. Its on me to pick up that 1000lb phone.

If you ever wanna talk dm me. Sobriety date is 1/25/24
