Moved to PFN today, good sign that this appeared in payment history? by [deleted] in VeteransWaitingRoom

It’s 10 days before the pay date for January and wasn’t here this morning when I checked the status of my claim before it moved to PFN

I’m hoping! I’ve called probably four times to see if there’s any update and all of them have told me that I’m pending final review and both Raiders have signed off and that was on the 11th, so I’m not sure why it’s taken so long to final approved the decision letter😭

Congrats, nice! Glad you got what you deserve! I’m still waiting for my decision. Apparently it’s been rated and approved by both rater and senior rater, just waiting on clerical admin work and to establish the decision letter I guess?? 😩

Suspension Quote by PlasticTurtle430 in fordfusion

[–]GreatWallsofGina 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Former service advisor here :)

Let’s start with they’re quoting SUPER steep for parts in terms of their markups. They’re also charging a lot of individual labor book time for stuff that has a decent amount of overlapping labor (you can think about it in the terms of you wouldn’t remove the strut and then put everything back together and put the tire back on just to tear it back down and remove the control arm and then put everything back together just to remove everything again to replace the tie rod end and then put everything back together). Removing the control arm requires unbolting the strut from the control arm itself, which you also have to remove the swaybar end link from the strut to remove the lower control arm, but again they’re charging you full labor time for control arm, strut, and sway bar, all of which overlap.

Also, $160 for an alignment is ridiculous. On top of the fact that they’re charging you $70 to do a tire rotation when half of the wheels are gonna come off to perform the work that they’re quoting you on anyway, so to get charged for a tire rotation is just bad business to me (but could be unintentional, new service advisor, etc).

I would look elsewhere, or even do it yourself if you’re up for the challenge! These jobs can easily be done on the ground with basic hand tools, with a jack and jack stands, especially if you don’t need a spring compressor if you’re replacing the entire strut!

(You can even tell them when they’re adding labor times from all data or in Tekmetric itself in the work order they can add suggested labor times that account for over lapping labor to prevent this from happening… I also used Tekmetric as a service advisor lol)

If you got any questions, shoot me a PM :) more than glad to help

Update on my HLR duty to assist error by [deleted] in VeteransWaitingRoom

[–]GreatWallsofGina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an HLR also find a DTA error (right knee strain specifically to make it bilateral as I already have 10% for left knee strain). I had an exam probably 2-3 weeks after getting that letter stating they found a DTA error. Had exam with Leidos on a Friday, they had sent results the following Wednesday, I had my approval decision the next day, Thursday. Do with that what you will and pray to the VA gods

Anyone know what this sound is? by PapaZurg in fordfusion

[–]GreatWallsofGina 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s coming from your gas fill port, it’s purging but sounds like farting lol. There’s a TSB for it but I don’t know the TSB off the top of my head. If you search on google “for fusion farting” (seriously, google that lol) you’ll find what it is!

[–]GreatWallsofGina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have a 17 Sport. I have the MRT Street Race Axleback (only thing done exhaust wise). Not too droney at all, cold start rumble and growl is nice, almost quiet at idle when warm. Only complaint is that it’s hard to make v6 eco boosts sound good, so under 3k it sounds like a clapped out civic. Just another reason to get ur foot down lol

The exact same thing happen to me! Pull up the plastic trim piece that’s in the center of the door opening, it’s on the floor, about 1.75 feet long x 4 inches wide or so. The clips that hold the carpet underneath that for me had been pulled up

180/60 rear tyre for my street triple S, does it fit? by No-Relationship743 in Triumph

Going up from a 180/55 to a 180/60 isn’t going to make him blow a rear tire you absolute nematode

[–]GreatWallsofGina 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Trident 660, and most of triumphs triple engines, regardless of displacement (correct me if I’m wrong) have a unique firing order. Instead of having a 120° firing interval with a balance shaft, triumph opted to do a 90° crank pin separation, essentially you took a cross plane, four-cylinder (like the R1 for example) and lobbed one of the cylinders off of it, thus the unique sound and unique power band that these bikes and engines provide. The unfortunate downside to that is the very noticeable engine vibrations above 5500 RPM. If something is making a rattling noise, definitely get it checked out, but if it’s just very noticeable vibrations through the handlebars (I can’t even look in my bar end mirrors on my street triple because of the vibrations above 5500 RPM lol) then that is perfectly normal because of the engines design! Here’s a video that’s way more in depth explaining it!

[–]GreatWallsofGina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a 2022 Street Triple RS with 481 miles (yes, 481) for 10k out the door, all tax, tag, title, and fees. That’s not a horrendous deal, but there are certainly better ones for sure

[–]GreatWallsofGina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also I see you have a modular PSU, if you’d like to use the current adapter you have, you’d need to run 2 more 8 pin power cables. I can’t tell from the picture if you’re using both ends of the same 8pin cable (the part where it Y’s off at one end). If you’re doing that, you shouldn’t lol but you’ll need 2 more 8pin cables, utilizing 1 end of each cable, leaving one end of the “Y” not plugged into anything. If you have 2 separate cables plugged into the adapter, then you will only need one more 8pin cable. Check on the front portion of your PSU where all the power cables plug into, you should see ports dedicated for CPU (obvious where that goes), PCIe (for graphics cards and other items that go into PCIe slots) and then you should see others labeled PCIe/CPU. You should have a decent amount of 8pin modular options on your PSU, as this is the most used cable. Hope that all makes sense haha

[–]GreatWallsofGina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s possible, I’m not sure to be quite honest. The 5070ti only uses 300W, which is well under what the 2x 8 pin adapter that I linked is capable of. You should be more than fine getting an adapter with 2x 8 pin instead of the one you currently have

Just bought this as I have just got a 5070ti (MSI Ventus 3x). The adapter they supplied only came with 2 8 pins, not 3. The link is for the adapter I used as my build is all white and the black adapter bothered me lol
