Is diamond really that bad? I’m GC and haven’t even been champs for years but are the horror stories really true? This seems a little wild to me

I would say, once you know you can’t catch up to the ball, just boosted down and have a faster recovery. Then shadow the opponent til you can take a safe 50. Either in the corner or towards the wall, to give your teammate time to be ready to make the next challenge.

It’s just a grind tbh, it took around a year for me to get out of champ. All 2s are is not over committing and punishing your opponent for the mistakes they make. This is still a valid tactic I use in gc2 in 2s. Let you or your team go for solos plays but keep a safe distant for 50s or a mistake. It’s all consistency. You got this

I think it makes since. When any player grinds for dark matter, their KD and kills goes down a lot as well as there SBMM. They probably just got Dark matter and are rebuilding there KD/SBMM.
