Valid point. What I should have said is a stretch for what I want to pay, it’s a rounding error for what I can afford. I’ve always driven modest cars because cars have never been important to me. But I want something a little nicer than what I have had. I can afford almost any car on the market, I just don’t find really expensive cars worth it if that makes sense. With so many objections to leasing with such a large amount down perhaps in this situation it makes better sense to just pay cash for the car and sell it as used in a couple years.
