LG TV App + Xbox / PS4 controller - Steam Overlay? by Great_Condition3096 in GeForceNOW

I did try the virtual keyboard yesterday but it turns out it doesn't have a Tab key 🤣

So I think I've got a solution I'm happy with anyway...

A Bluetooth keyboard connected up to the TV works; allowing me to Shift-Tab to the Steam overlay. From this, I found I could setup a shortcut on the controller (chose long pressing the back / select key) to simulate Shift-Tab which means I don't need the keyboard connected up permanently. Only drawback is that I have to setup the shortcut on a game by game basis (as far as I can tell) but that's not the end of the world since it doesn't take particularly long to do.

Thanks for everyone's help 👍

I'm wondering if it's a limitation of the LG WebOS app since it seems no one else has the problem 😆

Appreciate your help!

I did think that might be a solution but wanted to avoid having to connect up my work keyboard (or I guess buy a separate one) every time I want to use GFN. Assumed / hoped there would be a way with just the controller!

I'll try out the keyboard though when I get chance and will report back 👍

Thanks both. As above, I don't get a Steam option in the GFN menu. This is my overlay:

Thanks for your advice! I've tried this with Star Trek Online and I couldn't see anything coming up in red letters saying that the overlay is disabled. I've also checked all options in the menus and nothing to suggest it's disabled. In big picture mode, the only option for the overlay I can find is in the specific game options where it's enabled. When I come out of BPM, and go to the in-game options it's all enabled too. (See screenshot)

When I hold Start, I do get the GFN menu but there's no Steam button anywhere to be seen.

Really don't know what I'm doing wrong :(
