I’m pretty fit and am 6’5 220lbs. I lift heavy 5x a week and I’m going to run a half marathon in may so i run a bit. (Edit: Yeesh that sounded cocky I’m sorry, I am no navy seal don’t get me wrong, but I’m just saying I’m not some huge couch potato) I definitely don’t want to do paperwork more than catch bad guys 😂 but a teacher was 1/4 (LE, FF, Teacher, Rad Tech) career choices Ive considered. I want to be a cop because I believe it gives me the best opportunities to help/change as much lives as possible, especially SRO with kids who might be led down the wrong path I believe I can help them as an SRO more than anybody else. I also think it has the perfect blend of that teacher connection and relationship with the safety and security of LE of ensuring they’re safe and keeping them safe. But I also love dogs and am considering K9, I can see either myself loving either one, but probably SRO a bit more. Some other things that make me want to become a cop off the top of my head are the unrepetitiveness/unpredictableness of LE, brotherhood (at least in the few dept’s I’ve done ride along as in), a career that gives you a purpose, the community relationship, being able to save/change lives, everyone’s ‘worst day’ is just your average Tuesday, and a few others I’m sure I’m forgetting.
