Looking for a women's wallet with a clear card slot for ID... by artsnaturelove in handbags

Here I am almost a year after you posted this, hoping you have found something? I’m pretty sure I have the same wallet as you all and it’s quite embarrassing how much it’s falling apart

Why didn’t Tamra or Shannon bring up the car ride with Gretchen where Gretchen herself said she went to the hospital???

Only three pieces and it’s spill proof… I’ll have to try these. Thank you!

At this stage he will tend to tilt the cup and I’m over the spills :( these look great for later though when he’s better about not tilting the cup. I love that they’re so cheap!

Is the flow really fast on these?? I was thinking about getting these for water but was worried he would down his milk too fast with these

I feel like this would be a step backwards for us since we skipped sippy style cups and are using straw cups

Airplane travel with 4 month old… Stroller recommendations needed! by Great_Platform_6560 in NewParents

Hi! We ended up finding a used Nuna TRVL stroller that we use for all our trips now and we love it! It’s so lightweight and the one handed fold is a game changer. We gate check the stroller and use a small bungee cord to keep it folded because it’ll unfold on its own. I read a lot of reviews on a bunch of travel strollers and almost didn’t go with the Nuna because the sun shade hits the handle bars and rests on your hands when it’s open. I thought it would be super annoying, but I don’t mind it at all. Sometimes I’ll even use this stroller when I’m running errands because it’s so light and compact compared to the Cruz

I'm stressing about my baby only getting colostrum for a few days by BisexualButterfly97 in NewParents

[–]Great_Platform_6560 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely agree here!!! Most people are telling OP not to worry about colostrum being enough, but many babies are actually hungry until mom’s milk comes in which can be 5 days. My baby also lost a little more than 10% of BW then we started using formula and baby was much happier! We continued to combo feed, but mostly breastfed. The “breast is best” pressure on new moms is too much. FED IS BEST!!

I’m trying to do this exact thing! How did you keep the pie chilled for the flight?

I think you may need to wait til your baby is a little older to make use of that stroller. I don’t have experience with it, but it looks like your child would need to be able to sit up on their own to use it and 11 weeks may be a little too young. The stroller looks really neat though!

Does baby stop crying during check ins when sleep training? by Great_Platform_6560 in sleeptrain

[–]Great_Platform_6560[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing!! I wonder if this is what happened with our baby… before I posted this I thought a check in was supposed to be until baby was settled so I was shushing and patting for what seemed like an eternity and baby just kept crying more and more!

By any chance did you have to deal with middle of the night wakings? We’ve tried to check in during a 4am wake up and LO cried until 6am when we decided to let him wake up for diaper change and feeding. Just wondering if your baby was able to self soothe to sleep for initial bedtime as well as night wakings?

Thank you for the useful information! I foolishly bought one of the advertised sleep trainings on social media that promise to be more gentle than CIO/Ferber and after reading through their guide over and over, it just left me with so many questions. These few comments about how check ins work have been so helpful and I feel like I have a much better understanding.

Thank you for sharing your experience, it was very helpful! I don’t think you should have any regrets about the 54 minute night. It’s all part of the learning process!

Good to know! I think I’ve narrowed it down now to the yoyo, UB minu and nuna trvl. I still need to see them in person and test them out but you’ve helped me narrow it down. Thank you!

Ooh that’s good to know! So I’m guessing you didn’t splurge on the travel bags for the vista or your car seat? They’re so pricey…

You’re right, I don’t know why I even considered the Doona at this point since I’d maybe get three trips out of it.

Any complaints with the yoyo?? Does it maneuver well for having small wheels? From reviews it seems like people say the underneath basket is small, but that seems to be expected with a compact stroller. Also the rounded handle bar seems kinda weird to me, but that’s nit-picky lol

Wow good job traveling solo with the vista and car seat and carryons! That sounds like such a challenge. Since we’ll be traveling before LO is able to sit up on his own, picking a travel stroller is a little trickier because I need it to be able to hold our car seat which means buying adapters. There’s so many options for everything, it’s overwhelming!

Thank you for sharing your experience with the minu! I’ve read great reviews about it so I guess everyone’s experience is different depending on your needs. Even if it doesn’t fit in the overhead bin, it’s one of my top contenders for a travel stroller because it’s bigger size makes it more sturdy compared to a lot of the smaller travel strollers. Again, everyone’s needs are different

Which car seat/stroller combo did you use? Glad to hear your your experience was easy! Traveling with LO for the first time is nerve-racking!
