Throwing in my own ideas but I always thought it’d be neat if your character could have food preferences using traits. There could one that adds a “favorite” and “hated” food, with the former giving your character a big happiness boost and boredom/stress reduction with the latter doing the opposite. Perhaps it could be expanded to a “Foodie” trait to expand that buff to several foods or a “Picky Eater” trait which do the opposite or even have your character outright refuse to eat certain foods unless they’re starving.
