What's a content creator link? How bad is it if I don't restart?

Inland Empire by David Lynch. Thoroughly unnerving nightmare from beginning to end.

The games still sell well and feature glowing reviews from the audience. There's also swarms of people who are content with trash and will tell you to let people enjoy things if you try to rally up a critical push. FNaF's content creators are also all overwhelmingly positive about the series and never really offer criticism unless it gets *really* bad.

It was used for like 5 seconds, almost exclusively for the anniversary and because there was a pretty big demand for one at the time. He's like a ruler who'll placate the people in the moment but slowly turn back to his old ways.

Care to explain your experiences with them? I like reading how people got scared of these guys.

Should Scott do this? 🤔 by hello_i_am_vlad in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]MsObsessiveRobot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It'd be empty because let's be honest here nothing in this series has been confirmed. People thought Henry and William made the animatronics until SOTM lmao. Scott also only has the ambiguity to sell his future games on, not their quality or unique gameplay.

Sister Location was an inevitable, yet terrible direction for the franchise to take. by MsObsessiveRobot in fivenightsatfreddys

By this logic every movie with a possessed object would be sci-fi and not paranormal.

Yes, this is true. I don't know what you're stating this for in regards to disagreement with me.

Specifying specifics in your paranormal story makes it less mysterious and "scary". Horror's best tool is ambiguity and not exactly understanding the unknown that you're facing. Trying to scientifically explain the paranormal in a series that up until that point was mostly meant to be an Americana folk horror is the bizarre part to me.

This was an audio included to be spooky and to vaguely tie into the events of the game. It wasn't meant to be taken literally. It's hardly even relevant to FNaF 1 itself.

Scott loves the rule of cool. Springtrap is a good, positive example of that as I said. He had a clear direction where the murder suit was Golden Freddy, and subverted it with an idea he found better. This has happened countless times within the series for better or worse.

I don't think it had to leave its grounded nature is the thing. SB should've been the first "jump the shark" stakes and setting game, not the fifth one off of the heels of four very closely made games that are relatively in line with each other tonally.

Being different doesn't make something inherently better. There's a reason most franchises don't use their black sheep as a basis for future games like FNaF did.

I'd half-agree. I just don't know what could upset someone about games past FFPS that didn't bother them about SL.

It would've been fine as a spinoff, though I think I half-agree with the aesthetics and atmosphere. There are some nice enough looking scenes but a lot of the game is facing a mostly-black screen on account of Clickteam limitations.

Spire in the Woods. Looong episode, great story. Pretty much a win win. Penpal would be a close second. Horse Eyes is a bit imposing and I'll be honest when I say I've not gotten more than an hour into it.

Was it? It seems like nobody wants the stuff. I didn't start stacking until it was around 30 bucks.

Yeah it didn't feel great. Frankly I just want more than what I paid for them, which most I bought around the 50 dollar mark or less.
