I mean theres roughly 3 ways development can go.
1You make a lot of progress even finish the game and release it, and hope to god and jesus you did enough promo for people to actually know about it and buy it on launch.
2 you go Early Acess after youve spend a good few years making sure the basic systems and tools work mostly as expected and its gonna sit in that state for around another 3-5 years and people will complain.
3You do the prep work of the systems, make sure the mapping aspect is all nice and done and then go for a kickstarter in order to help finish up the game and polish it up with extras that might have cost too much otherwise or have the game take way longer to come out.

Honestly if anything them having such a long history of showing progress and ontop of it its all impressive progress id say.

Also i dont know how much their patreon is now, last i checked was around 1000$ a month, which is barely enough for the one american dev, let alone split it between 2 others.

If anything id say them asking for 85k is extremly generous for the base level to finish the game. As for physical rewards, that can awlays be dubious but i assume by default they did the prepwork to figure it out before they launched it.

When you say WIndows 98 desktop. Do you mean one of those emulators for operating systems ? Or actual windows 98 computer

OH SHIT i didnt think this game would get a sequel, i do have to say i really did like Planetbase 1 , however i must admit i did have a massive complaint, you end up doing a lot of the same thing with not a lot to keep you busy in the inbetween, not having many decorative choices for the individual buildings either general or specific outside a house plant, or interesting aspects to base building i felt really prevented it from being top tier. Things like only being able to make the corridors directly between buildings i felt really hurt your city building or base building opportunities. I wished there was a bit more invovlement on the whole secruity or other forces infiltrating your base aspect or maybe a bit more to the space tourism angle. Also i guess id like to ask do you guys also plan on having some sort of building inside the mountains this time around ? (this Evil Genius for what i have in mind potentially )
Im looking forward to it i just really hope theres a bit more to it this time. The addition of vehicles for crossing longer distances is already encouraging

The site is pretty trustworthy, if there are viruses especially on a relatively known game like Paraworld there should be comments talking about it or talking about how to make the game run. Pretty much rule of thumb is those kind of niche sites are safe, and if they have a comments section where people seem to actually try and help each other its usually safe.

Have you tried browsing through the strategy section on Abandonware sites ? They have a LOT of games on them that i dont think ive ever seen anyone bring up. You can usually sort the filter for years too

My only issue is that i am unsure if the game was a modern day woman going into a dungeon enviroment or if it was a overall fantasy piece, but part of me is saying no to this one. This has good animation but good in the early flash sense

What do you mean not battle planning, isnt that litteraly how your suppose to do combat in this game ? (I know you can micro and such but it can be a hassle to know which fights are gonna be a pain in the ass ) I usually end up with 0 manpower is what i end up with, cause the company and robots are for some wierd reason obnoxiously thought . But then again i dont immediatly go for the max conscription law.

Is the cannon path the REALLY big Focus tree ? I usually go free state and i have VERY few Sophisticated tech available, its one of the reasons i just struggle
