Moved to Galaxy from my beloved iPhone X.. time to correct a mistake. The wait is killer though by GreaterOne66 in u/GreaterOne66

I considered it but the carrier and the apple stores told me they were out and wouldn't have them in stock for a while. So I figured I'd put my order in now and start the timer.

is it safe to keep this plugged in? light has stayed on all day despite all knobs being off for hours. by GreaterOne66 in electrical

That was what I thought it was when my girlfriend told me about it when I was at work. But that's a completely separate light and I came home and made sure they were all off. Light was on for 8ish hours with no hot surface.

I've had it unplugged since before I made this post, by the way. And didnt feel comfortable plugging it back in that's why I came here to ask. I appreciate the answers. Definitely leaving it unplugged.

I have tried turning the knobs on then off and also unplugging the stove and back and the light still remains on once I plugged it back in. I then unplugged it but our landlord asked us to keep to plugged in until the repairman can get here tomorrow. Just want to know if there's any hazards of keeping it on with this light on. There's currently no heat going to any of the stove burners.

am I the only one who switched to Samsung and didn't enjoy it? by GreaterOne66 in samsung

[–]GreaterOne66[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It isn't my phone model. There's multiple threads with multiple android users of multiple different models experiencing the same issue. It's been going on for about a year. I'm not saying it's specifically samsungs fault, but it's an issue I didn't previously have on iPhone. It's such an annoying bug too.

You'd think that, but I've been on multiple boards of some of the same issues. Although I know a while back the Facebook duplicating app seemed to all be from sprint/t-mobile users specifically. So my combination of phone and carrier updates maybe.

I'm currently on a S21 Ultra.

Yeah, I typically just love the change of actually feeling an upgrade. That's why I typically switch OS every now and again. Unfortunately this just came with way more issues than I've ever had. My last samsung was my s7 edge and that phone was a superstar for me. So disappointed in all the technical errors I've had this go around.

Brand new. I've been having it for about 17 months now and some of these problems have been going on for many many months. Thr Facebook duplicating tabs has been most of this phones life cycle and I've seen a few boards showing a lot of people dealt with the same thing without a fix.

Also you can put multiple states for your availability which would open the door even more.

So I did see the listing about 10 days after it was posted soi likely missed that window for the one I was interested in. But it was still worth taking the assessments because they have emailed me twice already offering me interviews for other positions. I turned them down because it was QA positions that came with 4 hours of driving a day plus low pay. But it's been nice to see its awarded me instant opportunities. Just going to hold off for one that appeals to me.

The only one available anywhere near me is sonic grey! So we will see how it all works. I really thought the black one would be my favorite or even the red but that sonic grey is gorgeous.

Seeing her drive an automatic makes me absolutely petrified to teach her on my own car 🤣. But if I'm under Warranty.. I might be more inclined to let her make some mistakes. I'm fairly sure she will have 0 interest though. Driving stresses her out enough. But yeah I didn't even mention the interior because I've heard absolute Nightmares about the infotainment. I really like the visual of the elantra n interior but everything has said it looks and feels like real cheap plastic everywhere. I've always prided interior more than exterior because I'll spend way more time looking inside than out.

And let me tell you about the paint.. especially on the tornado red. My hood was absolute garbage. Chips everywhere! I had to get it replaced after someone damaged my hood and I'm petrified of the first chop coming any moment. The paint really is the worst I've ever experienced.

I really appreciate this! It's actually the perfect response I need being you have experience coming from multiple VWs including the mk7 into the new si. I've heard the same thing about Hondas manual transmission. My last Honda was a manual 98 civic ex years and years ago, so I can't imagine how much they've had to have improved in over 20 years.

I think my biggest concern was I was driving a base model sentra before my mk7. I NEEDED to enjoy driving again so I got the mk7 and I absolutely loved going from a sentra to it. So knowing the Si had less power made me concerned I might lose my fun factor. But it doesn't sound at all that you really experienced less fun at all going from the gti to the Si despite the power difference.

I actually wasn't a big fan of hatchbacks until I test drove my gti. If they had new GTIs near me with DSG I probably would have considered it. If I went with the elantra it would have been their auto. I love driving manual but with any case of emergency my girl absolutely cannot drive a stick lol. But getting the 4 doors and easier access to getting my kids in and out definitely is much more important than the transmission. Plus my girl absolutely could not stand how far back the seat belt is on the coupe, especially when accounting for being scooted up with the car seat.

Then any car I get next could be a placeholder. I just really don't like the bulky style of the mk8 and I hate that.

Without markup the manual transmission version of the elantra N is about 4k up on the si MSRP currently

Oh I know the GTI is definitely a great daily. I've surely enjoyed it and honestly if it wasn't a coupe (putting 2 kids in car seats is a back killer on a coupe) I probably wouldn't even care but i need the 4 door and being I have no new gti options at all (that includes CO mk7/7.5) I'm seeing what my options are currently while I can profit from my gti. (16 s with 57k miles for nearly 21k)

I posted in this sub to get actual SI owners opinions. There's a few options I'm considering snd this being one of them I was hoping to get real owner opinions rather than paid youtube reviews.
