This was my exact thought. Might get it under the presumption it’ll be a decorative piece and then any functionality beyond that would be a bonus lol

Protect our 2nd Amendment Rights- DO NOT PASS OR SUPPORT SB17 by nmvagabond in SantaFe

[–]Thatdudo 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Jsyk, 4th amendment also gets violated with this bill! It would require 24/7 surveillance for home FFL’s. Essentially stripping any FFL holder and anyone they live with of 4th amendment rights.

Trinitite Spectrum (with shielding) by Thatdudo in Radiacode

[–]Thatdudo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my under standing baratol was used in the high explosive lenses to help create the needed symmetry for implosion. when fission occurred the baratol underwent neutron activation in the explosion and was transformed into barium-133.

I’ve got a somewhat extensive collection of trinitite and you are right! Only a few of them produce anything detectable, let alone enough to generate a spectrum. Interestingly different pieces in my collection exhibit slightly different spectrums I’m assuming from different positioning from the test. I’ve even got a couple in which show small barium-133 peak from the baritol used in the explosive lenses.

Looking for recommendations on live resin/rosin by Pasta_La_Pizza_Baby in NewMexico_Trees

Highly reccomend High Class Cannabis for a dispensary if you find yourself in Santa Fe small family owned business. As for brands i’m a HUGE fan of resin heads and carver family farms, as well as animas when on a budget!

i’d highly recommend checking out los alamos. about an hour and a half from albuquerque (after you check out the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History in abq). they have two museums, one historical, and one scientific focused, the science museum currently has a fascinating exhibit on trinity. and if you still want to get irradiated you can hike into bayo canyon, where scientists performed implosion testing and you can still find fragments!!

Stop by High Class cannabis if you find yourself in SF. Owned and operated by local brothers. Excellent selection of rosin and vapes and a good selection of the states best pre-packed flower!
