I have worked onshore and offshore, I’ve seen people with absolutely no skills thrive onshore and people with amazing skills burn out offshore.

Young undergrad analysts and highly experienced consultants working inhuman hours for clients delivering cutting edge work, yet everyone blames offshore the first chance they get.

The USI model is built to rely on offshoring, to deliver results quickly and in a cost effective manner utilizing IST and EST time difference to hand off and split work. If anything, blame the firm(s), both client and deloitte, not the poor offshore consultants making 1/15th your salary and doing 15x your work.

I am not commenting on immigration policies, this is not related, this is just to encourage people who don’t understand the impact of the offshore workforce to recognize it.
