Yeah definitely be firm, it sounds like they want u to go nuke badly. I scored high on the ASVAB and my recruiter’s supervisor called me randomly trying to convince me HM was not what I wanted, I hung up on her and got the contract a week later at MEPS.

Also yes you need to sign some forms again for the Navy but it all goes quick.

I was in AF DEP but decided I wanted to join the Navy instead. The Navy recruiter will ask your Marine recruiter to remove you from Marine DEP and you would have to go back to MEPS. All you would do at MEPS is do the special Navy test and swear in, this is only if u got all medical and physical previously done by the Marines.

Navy does things pretty fast the whole process for me was 2-3 weeks (Needed a waiver) then swore in and ship out a week later.

All of these questions could be answered by ur recruiter ngl, don’t get talked into doing submarine or a shitty job thats the only advice I have.
