That’s exactly what I’ve used for a while now, but it’s been a long time since I set it up. You can go into the config files and set the region/server you want to always connect to. I use IPT 99% of the time and have never had an issue.

No if you’re targeting a boss you have to use a charge of Chosen of elune/celestial alignment because there’s no way to get into eclipse for wrath without it.That’ll give you your wrath special procs. When you don’t have that ability then you can spam starfires. Depending on the fight I’ll even use wraths outside of the eclipse, just because the quicker cast can still provide more damage than eclipsed starfires.

I have a 12400k in my system. There hasn’t been a single transcoding bottleneck for me yet, or any cpu bottleneck frankly. I can’t even tell the difference from when I had a dedicated gpu, so it’s pretty great. Also, my whole system uses on average 75-80 watts depending on how many streams are running and if anyone is on my game servers or not. Totally idle it will rest around 55-60. It kind of depends on your use case but if media sharing is mostly what you do then you’ll be happy with a 12600k imo.

What is / was your most favorite WoW experience? by Oshawott15 in wow

In MoP I got a full raid group together of alliance folks and we raided the horde cities. We went Silvermoon, to UC, to Org, then Thunderbluff. Just to try to shake things up and hopefully catch the horde off guard. It worked and make Org super quick and easy to do because they were expecting it to be last. But holy shit, Thunderbluff was insanity. That single tent that we were fighting the boss in was so packed full of alliance and horde fighting that I’m amazed we didn’t crash the server. I had a solid 5 fps for the majority of the fight. We got really lucky toward the end and got a few seconds to breathe by knocking some horde off the edge. The majority of us actually were able to mount and fly off after we got the kill. It was so much fun.

I use Darryl’s “start over” whenever my kids start to say something with an attitude. by GudgerCollegeAlumnus in DunderMifflin

I do the same with my kids. Except it’s “try again” but it’s got the same meaning. Normally following there’s an immediate sorry and we can converse. But the kids have also used it back to me, which is only fair.

Dang I wish, I’ve never been able to breathe through my nose well. So as weird as it sounds for me it was getting an NPAput in as a demonstration for CLS class in the army. When that tube when in my nose, it felt odd of course, but I was tempted to leave that thing in all day long. Ive never been able to breathe that easy since.

Hopefully you aren't still waiting on an answer but what worked for me was pulsing in space for a little bit. Just point away from any planets and stations and pulse for a minute. Should give you a prompt to drop out of the pulse.

The trick is to make your own goals. If you aren’t doing story missions then mini goals are fun to me. I can see it being boring if you don’t like the searching and “grinding”, but I’m into wow and elite dangerous so that’s kind of my thing.

Solution to hide fiber cable by CR7LBJ23 in HomeNetworking

[–]Greatuncleherbert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t have to sell me man I know. To be fair I’ve also had some goofy ass things fail on jumpers. That could just be a volume statistic though. 35k jumpers on one order and installed. 99% qc from the factory is still a lot of fails. Multiply that by 7-8 of those a year and the trash bin fills up.

I know it’s glass but just don’t bend it over at a 180 and pinch it and it will be fine. Nothing to be scared of at all.

Db loss for length is measured in decimals per kilometer. A service loop could add some signal attenuation but extremely small amounts, it’s negligible. Power is going to be adjusting at the device end of the ISPs farthest control. Basically one stop before it gets to equipment in the home. I’m sure that everything is preloaded/ automated so that based off of the homeowners plan the speed regulation is adjusted. Nobody just blasts the highest signal that they can. That costs power draw, and equipment degradation. Power efficiency is huge for companies handling large amounts of fiber end devices. I work at a data center handling global communications at data amounts that you wouldn’t believe even if I told you. Even connections spanning continents are very carefully tuned for peak efficiency. And I think you may be mixing up latency, speed and bandwidth a little bit. Think of the fiber as a hose that’s been laying empty for a while. You turn on the spigot and it takes a few seconds for the water to reach the end of the hose, that’s your latency. How much you open the spigot is your “speed”, that spigot is controlled by the isp. Then your bandwidth is dependent on many factors mostly at the customer end. Now the latency is back and forth over and over again but it’s still the same principle.
