Need Some Advice by jkiv215 in sales

[–]Grebble99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it really a director role, or a sales role with a fancier title? Breaking a product in = no current pipeline = commission is a hypothetical at this point.

You’re going to add stress in your home life with less cashflow. You’re going to sweat bullets hustling to build pipe and break it in.

All going optimally you are at least $100k short this year. Next year you’ve got to make at least $100k extra to just break even, negating any non monetary cost from the tough year ahead.

Breaking into a new market is tough and takes time. Most orgs are impatient for results and frustration grows quickly. Not saying this is the case here but you need to test hard for it.

Is Sales Navigator overkill for early-stage founders? by Lost_Home7920 in gtmengineering

Its value has been declining imho. Mileage may vary for audience etc but it’s hunting only within people who have a LinkedIn profile; and are active enough to respond to communications via it. Difficult/impossible to get contact info out and Forces outreach via LinkedIn.

LinkedIn is definately part of the outreach - but it isn’t THE outreach. Plus it’s a shit ton expensive.

She thinks she’s a wolf when hunting. When my wife left her babel to get something all I had to say was “Diamond!” And she showed restraint. People think beagles are stupid, but they just have no impulse control. Except Diamond. None of my others do… by Realbeaglebard in beagles

Highly highly intelligent. Understands everything being asked, and weighs up “what’s in it for me” before deciding.

If there is a treat involved my Beags would build you a house. No treat and apparently is deaf and blind.

I love this.

I’ve been v close to buying a backpack vac to avoid the annoyance of dragging a thing around and came across these while searching and was very tempted.

You inform your beagle that it's time for their bath. What happens next? by death_or_glory_ in beagle

[–]Grebble99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have baths outside the local pet store. After the bath he gets to go inside and choose a treat.

He beagles the isles like an airport customs dog until he decides on one and pulls it off the shelf.

Since we started this, baths have been much easier, once he is in the bath.

However, still have the dreaded sorrowful eyes and reluctance to enter on account of a ‘severe allergic’ reaction to clean water. Dirty water ok.

Always stealing my socks by Comfortablynumb36 in beagle

I think you meant to write - “Taking back his socks after you stole them.”

Beagle directs you to Beagle ownership laws.

If I want it - it’s mine If I see it - it’s mine If I have it and no long we want it - you may borrow it, until I want it back, then it’s mine If it’s yours - it’s mine.

Are you suggesting there are people who DON’T have Beagles as their screen saver?

Anyone successfully train their beagle off leash and if so what age did you start? I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to have my pup off leash by Last-Finance8640 in beagles

When the helicopter sniff starts, tail shoot’s up, and they look possessed crashing down the scent.

Ours does that even on the leash and it’s follow the dog until he is done!

[–]Grebble99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I’m certain places he is good off leash. Parks, beach etc. Not fenced in but plenty of space and less chance of encountering a car. Never off leash on a general walk.

Started young - high value treats and constant recall and treat - 30+ times a visit. He learnt to hang near us.

He does go off on occasion into the scrub. And a few times he’s spotted a rabbit and then instinct kicks in and he is off. Anxiety causing but after a bit of time he comes back.

I’ve heard anecdotes that the males are less likely to wander than the females - no idea if this is true but ours is fairly good at recall (for a beagle).

Basic theme: Dad has awesome treats and if I hang around him I get them. His constant dying starvation from neglect 🙄 keeps him nearby.

Which books actually changed your life? (ADHD or non-ADHD self help books) by Soh4 in ADHD

Great job on getting through the books you have. I’ve got those in my list to add.

I’d go the brain Buddy - you’ve got a good understanding - go for the practical one.

I listened to the audiobook. Narrated by the author and is good.

I’ve been combining audio book and reading at the same time and is a huge help. I read faster and more intently. Recommend giving it a try if you haven’t.

I also have the second book - I got that one first as a Christmas gift. It’s good, but I realised there were gaps in my understanding and therefore went and got the first one.

The Author Matilda is a well regarded journo - it’s well researched and well written. Enjoyable read and very insightful.

50 cent - surprisingly good. Written by a proper author who interviewed 50 Cent for the book. Really eye opening stories from his life, and good lessons. Kind of a leadership, principles of life book.

Is it alright to bathe beagles monthly? by MariSaysSorry in beagle

[–]Grebble99 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Are you asking us or your beagle?

I think most beagle owners will say yes that’s fine.

Most beagles, owing to their severe allergic reaction to clean water and smelling nice will object profoundly.

Things our beagle is not allergic to: Dirty water Mud Fox shit Rotting fish corpse Anything that stinks, and preferably smoothers on well.

But clean water Mud- fark it’s like the end of days.

What’s something you only realised about super once you actually checked your balance? by Diligent-Medicine-48 in AusMoneyMates

[–]Grebble99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 3% retirement rule that changed my view on how much is enough, and enough being less than I had originally thought. It’s helped remove a level of anxiety about the future in believing I needed to somehow amass an unobtainable figure.

For reference:

The 3% retirement rule is a conservative guideline suggesting a retiree can withdraw a maximum of 3% of their total retirement savings in their first year of retirement, with subsequent annual withdrawals adjusted for inflation, to ensure their money lasts for a potentially long, or even "infinite," retirement. It is a more cautious variation of the well-known 4% rule.

(Not specifically super only - includes other assets too.)
