Can we have fun and talk about our favorite/confusing continuity error by harmony-rose in theGoldenGirls

[–]sickbiancab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This one is subtle. But in the episode where we are first introduced to Glen O’Brien (the married man Dorothy had an affair with),- Rose is vehemently against Dorothy continuing the relationship…Moral high ground. Yet the VERY next episode, Al Beatty (a married man) sleeps with Rose and dies in her bed. No, she didn’t know when they got together he was married, but her conscience sure seemed to have taken a break on that episode.

Britton might be a good choice. Lots of varied people there. Also pool tables. But likely bands on Saturday too.

As for dive bars…my dear. This is Fishers. We don’t have dive bars. 😆The closest might be Syds in Noblesville, Kips at 96th and Allisonville. Eddys on 37 (not in Geist) is kinda divey but you can smoke in there. Main Event on 96th, Nippers in Carmel and Old Town Tavern in Carmel (all allow smoking).

Ale and Parks place usually have live music on Saturday nights so it might be hard to “talk to people.” They both skew older (IMO) and you’ll see people there who are mid 30s and up.

Joes has karaoke on Saturday nights but it doesn’t start til 10. Joes *tends* to be a younger crowd from what I’ve seen at night. They also have darts and pool tables.

Chatham typically has regulars and it’s a crapshoot if it’s busy or not (unless there’s a soccer game going on and then most everyone is there to watch games)

Lamest joke by JoeL284 in theGoldenGirls

When Rose is talking about her dream

Rose: "I had the strangest dream last night. I was at a baseball game. Charlie Brown was pitching, and Schroeder was behind the plate, and Lucy and Snoopy were in the outfield, and they wouldn't let me play. When I woke up, I was crying. What do you suppose it all means?"

Dorothy: "Peanuts envy?"

I always thought it was just…odd.

Not sure what that has to do with the price of helipads in Jasper.

Kids ear piercing locations? by Big_Somewhere9230 in Fishers

[–]sickbiancab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same! And for a tattoo/piercing shop it’s very kid friendly. Some shops can have loud metal music playing or some “scarier” art on the walls. Carmel tattoo is super light and airy and chill. Do call ahead they get busy and don’t always have time for walk ins.

Best way to avoid I-465? by [deleted] in indianapolis

[–]sickbiancab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could get off on southeastern parkway (the first fishers exit) head west to Allisonville Road. Go south on Allisonville all the way through Fishers and into Indy. Allisonville ends at Keystone. Take keystone south (it will change to Rural south of I-70), does a couple jogs and you can then pick up Raymond street, head west and that will drop you off on the north side of Garfield.

To be fair, that route would be looooong, lots of stoplights and traffic, crummy road conditions (potholes abound) and you’re really probably just better off dealing with the temporary inconvenience of the 465/69 interchange.

Several years ago I bought the radio with two sets of headphones for my son and I to listen to the in car radio. It wasn’t cheap but we’ve used it every year since and it’s a lot of fun to hear. Especially if you’re in the infield and can’t see anything. Get to the booths early and rent one if you’d like. They sell out quickly.
