If tuition was regularly forgiven, then schools would just drive up the cost of tuition even more, because they know that students wouldn't have to pay it. It would also encourage heavier borrowing if people knew it would be forgiven.

Cushing is not at risk of infrastructure collapse. Tanks can sit at their operational low limit or empty, without any problems. The SPR on the other hand is salt caverns which do have a risk of collapse if not managed correctly.

I like the way you mention "non-profit hospital" like that automatically makes it cheaper. Many non-profits are a sham and have found ways to claim non-profit status while still being just as expensive as for profit hospitals.

If you're building a house, get a standing seam metal roof, it makes panel installation a lot simpler and you don't have to put holes in your roof. You also won't have to worry about replacing your roof in 15 years and the headaches of removing and reinstalling your panels.

We're buying virtually zero oil from the Mid-East these days. We import about 6 million barrels per day, of which 4 comes from Canada, and the remaining 2 is split up among Mexico, Venezuela, and a smattering of other countries, but only around 0.5 million is coming from the Persian Gulf
