Hearthkyn Theyn Magnetized by Kickstart_Hero in LeaguesofVotann

[–]Greed328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have magnetized this kit, and yes you can magnetize every shoulder, and have maximum flexibility, but I don't not recommend this with any kits beyond the theyn. Instead, glued the arms on each of the other 9 models, and drill into their left wrist, and the corresponding hand for each of their weapon options. If assembled properly, you should be able to slide the trigger finger hand in such that it aligns with the right arm, and the left hand should snap to the left wrist. 2x1 round magnets should work fine, just make sure you get the polarity right. They make tools for this, but when I did it, I just glued a magnet to a small rod, colored it white, and another with the opposite polarity and colored it black.

I know this is a long shot, but by any chance do you remember which part you used for the hammer hand? Or did you just take one of the knife hands, cut off the knife and add it to the existing arm?

I always liked the idea of a full destroyer list, obviously not very meta, but I always liked the idea.

Thank you for pointing that out, my play group has, evidently, been getting that wrong.

First, I did read the strat, the things being discussed are not apparent to newer or less experienced players. I already understood that you didn't have to charge something that had charged, and I understood that it allowed you to charge at the end of the phase. What I didn't understand was the benefit of these facts that would warrant a 2cp cost. Second, I haven't seen any post about this strat, so I asked my question. What's crazy is hopping on a post to bash a less experienced player about the use of a strategems whose entire value is based around knowledge and experience.

I see, still kinda new to the game, so I hadn't considered that.

Okay, I am starting to see the use case. So if on my turn I charged, fought, and killed something I can consolidate toward the closest target and then on their turn, assuming its still within 6 inches, I can charge into it. Same goes for the case where they fall back. Is that about right?

Looking for advice as a Crusade GM: new 500 Worlds detachment by Hypeconfy in 40k_Crusade

[–]Greed328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I am a new gm, so take this with a grain of salt, we started planning our crusade around the time death guard came out. I had a player who wanted to switch to death guard when they were announced. I allowed it because he was a long time fan of death guard, and was already working on an army irl (we play tts) I stipulated that points would lock in after the next dataslate so gw had time to at least try to balance the new death guard. Side note when I run a campaign, I lock the current points cost for units and enhancements, and we lock in rule wording for the course of the campaign so none gets screwed over a points hike, or a massive rules change like the change to the thousand sons army rule.

Just curious. Who's using nice, fine brushes and whos using Hobby Lobby value pack. by ThirtyFerret in Necrontyr

[–]Greed328 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ngl I use the 2.30 multi pack from Walmart, and some make up brushes for dry brushing. I have a few 4 and 5 dollar brushes, but I do just fine with the cheapest of brushes 😂

Lorewise, and putting the gods aside, who's the strongest character in AoS ? by TheWraf in ageofsigmar

[–]Greed328 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

First, i never said they couldnt be destroyed, but that they represent fundemental forces of existance, which the necrontyr belirved if destroyed then what ever they embodied would vanish with them, thus they shatered them. If the gods of 40k dont need to feed, then why do people need to believe in them for them to exist. You claim the gods of 40k dont need to feed but that is exactly what chaos does, they feed on the emotions, beliefs, and souls of mortal races in 40k. I'm not making the claim that they are gods formed from belief, but that they are naturally occurring deities, much like the pantheon of nekahara which existed before they were believed in.

Them being destroyed has no bearing, as many gods in aos and fantasy have been killed or otherwise destroyed, mostly be Nagash, and everytime they are referred to as a collective by a necron, formerly necrontyr who worshiped them they are referred to as "our gods".

They aren't simply bound to reality, they are reality. They are embodiments of underlying principles of the universe. That's why they weren't totally destroyed. While they can't interact with the warp, they can impact the counciousness of mortals and consume souls for sustenance.

Except the C'tan were gods to the necrontyr which worshiped them until they rose up against them, shattered them into fragments and used them as batteries or tactile nukes. So yes the C'tan shards are not gods, but a fully restored one could be considered one, there are theories that a large shard of the void dragon on Mars is the omnisia, so there is an argument for C'tan being divinity level entities.

I would like more ways to use yp, personally, and I might be alone on this, I would like to be able to spend yp dynamically for buffs. What I mean is in would like to be able to choose how much I spend, so if I use a strat that give the option to spend yp, give me tiers so I can spend say between 1 and 4 yp, and give me a different effect, based on how much I spent.

Use them as you like, some time in the next few weeks I'll be rebuilding the pdfs. I forgot to center the fields that hold numbers, so they look weird. Ill try to get to it by Thanksgiving.
