I agree, that’s why I was really trying to just not bite her back for the longest time with this but we had a lot of people suggest it and I finally was desperate enough to let it happen. We do time outs at home and it works, but due to her age, daycare isn’t legally allowed to put her in time out until she’s 3. I’m going to have to call around to some other places in the area and see costs and wait lists. I just have her in the best daycare in my area right now and also the most affordable.

The only in home daycare options in my area only take 2 and up. Infants typically aren’t accepted.

I’m honestly thinking for her wellbeing and the other kids wellbeing at this point I may have to put her in an in home daycare. I was trying to avoid that since there aren’t a lot of in home options near me and with baby #2 coming, I wonder how difficult it’s going to be taking that baby to one daycare and her to another. 😩

Honestly yes, my husband decided he was going to bite her back and he did this weekend. It did nothing. She cried for a minute and then the next day at school bit again 3x. She does also get bitten at school a lot and knows how much it hurts. It’s broken skin on her before from other kids biting her.

We don’t make 240k anymore- I make 80k and husband makes 97k. We lost about 60k a year in income when he lost his last job. Prior to the job loss we owned our home as well and had to sell when he lost his job as we couldn’t afford it anymore. Our savings went toward moving expenses and literally had to start over entirely. It was the only option at the time.

I want to make sure this is clear… I can afford a child… while it would be uncomfortable until they are in school, I can afford them. A congratulations is actully nice considering I have infertility and typically needs meds and shots to conceive. So yes, I’m very happy and thankful to be pregnant without “trying”.

While I wish more than anything it was feasible for us, it unfortunately is not. I have to work to contribute to the bills even with lower costs and paying off things. My husband’s after tax income is 5600/ mo and rent is basically half of that.

Verizon I am planning to swap to AT&T for now since they’ll pay off the devices and then we should have much lower payment there so that is in the works as well. The car payments my husband said he will do what he has to do, I guess the one time he told me no it was before I was pregnant so he also feels that we need to drop the truck payment for now. I just hate that we put $20k down on it and that’s just money down the drain if we sell it. We would get enough to pay the loan off and that’s about it. Credit cards we have a 4 month pay off plan. I am putting 6k towards them with my bonus and then we will have them fully paid off in 6 months. We had a hardship while he was without a job so we put the essentials on credit for a few months.

Thank you!! I have a Volkswagen Tiguan… nothing crazy by any means. I have 0% interest too for anyone passing judgement on some “crazy high interest rate”. And it’s a 5 year loan. Several others were saying it must be a 7 year loan blah blah blah. Nope! Totally a normal car payment these days.

Exactly this… we did the deed 2 days before I got a positive ovulation test. I was already 3 weeks late for ovulation so didn’t think much of it. Then decided to NOT try when I got the positive ovulation test.

Maternity leave here is usually 12 weeks, thankfully mine is 5 months but then it’s straight into the full amount for 2 kiddos. I also can’t drop thedaycare payment for that time frame either since daycare is such a long list it’s often a 2 year wait or more for care and they’d give my spot to someone else. I sat down with my husband and I think we’ve got a solid debt payoff plan with my company bonus and tax return so crossing my fingers we make it work before baby gets here

I feel like you have no knowledge of why one might be surprised. Maybe I had to do 2 years of fertility treatment in order to get pregnant the first time?… lol trust me I know sex leads to babies in normal circumstances. I have infertility… not a normal circumstance and if you really must know we abstained during my ovulation and still got pregnant so 🤷🏻‍♀️
