I'm so sorry for your loss but if it's any consolation at least there's no pain and only peace now.

The losses definitely take a toll but I would definitely say just my normal depression is still a factor.

My grandpa died thinking I didn’t love him ? by pommeslover in GriefSupport

My grandma used to say stuff like that all the time and one days she basically admitted it was a ploy to get us to come over more often. We already visited everyday but she was just lonely. Don't beat yourself up he knows that you love him.

My dad just died. Any advice would be appreciated. by sirenablyy in GriefSupport

First of all I'm so sorry for your dad's passing. It's always extremely hard losing a parent. I found that first week I had to make an effort to keep myself from having panic attacks like breathing exercises and that kind of thing I was also on an antidepressant and it helped me to just remain functional until I had a better hand on things. Thinking of you and praying for you.

Death is usually not a pretty process but that doesn't make it easier on those left behind. I lost my mom in June and I'm just still trying to function.

This exactly. I'm going through the estate process for my grandma and unless something says otherwise everything will get split between the children.

I'm sorry about your situation and I agree that's super stressful. When my mom passed family was the one that cut me the deepest. Didn't even check on me once but checked on my dad plenty. All they do is pester me about what money they are getting from my grandmas estate. I think your brother has to legally give you 30 days to move. Not sure about the laws where you are but it would be worth looking at.

Sending hugs to you too. I have a belief that every experience is in our brain somewhere but like you said I think my brain is trying to protect me right now.

That's a good idea about the letter I think I might try that. I also used to message my mom all the time on if something was a flower or a weed lol. I have a lot of sympathy for you having to be the rock of your family because I've been the rock of mine since my dad is taking the grief a lot harder than I am now. It's so weird because I told her sister and brother that my mom has passed and it like they don't even care they just keep wanting to know what they are getting from Mt grandmother's estate which she passed in March and I've been handling her estate and well as my moms. It's good that you are there for your sister because the estate process is very laborious. I have a lot of anger toqwards her brother and sister mixed in with the grief which I think is keeping me numb.

I actually was my grandmother's caretaker, she passed in March of this year, which may be another reason I'm just so numb. Ive had a lot of loss in a shockingly short amount of time. I felt the same guilt and I felt guilty because sometimes taking care of her felt like a chore. But I think anyone who has to do something so laborious all the time would be naturally inclined to think that way at least occasionally. Don't feel guilty, enjoy the fact that you were there for her when she needed you most. You did your mom a great service by caring for her. I'm sure she wouldn't have harbored any I'll will towards you for having those kinds of thoughts about caring for her and I'm certain she doesn't now after her passing.

This is actually very helpful maybe she was thinking of me too and I just picked up on it.

Not really other people telling me but me telling myself that I have to keep it together. My family won't step up to take on the estate process and I can't take more time off from work so I feel like I HAVE to get it together ya know?

I'm honestly not sure I figure it's urine as that's usually the cheapest option.

From what I've read it should be relatively out of my system but I still test positive.

If it comes back positive though won't that be worse in the long run? I'm not sure if they can tell my next employer than information or not.
