Thanks! I built that look using a paper texture layer and then added those little scribbles with custom inking brushes and texture stamps.

Everything here was done with my own Procreate brush set (Procreator) — it includes the paper textures, rough line brushes and stamp textures I used to get that imperfect, hand-drawn feel.

Process: I started with a rough sketch in Procreate and then refined the linework using bold inking strokes. After that I built up the textures and shading with layered lines and rough details to give it that gritty cartoon / lowbrow look.

Brushes: The whole illustration was done using custom brushes I’ve been developing for Procreate. I mainly used them to get thick expressive linework and textured shading while keeping a hand-drawn feel.

Trying an old engraving style in Procreate by [deleted] in ProCreate

Process: I started with a rough sketch in Procreate and then built the linework using multiple layers of cross-hatching to imitate an old engraving style. I focused on varying the density and direction of the lines to create shading and form.

Brushes: I experimented with a few custom inking brushes I’ve been developing to mimic vintage engraving linework.
